0/5 BELIEVE the bad reviews about charges. I do not like to be lied to and manipulated. I do not like to be tricked. Find another company and make sure they will honor their quote.

Review:

Poor communication, poor planning, poor management and extremely poor customer service. I went through a highly frustrating experience with this company today. I scheduled this company to assist with my move about four weeks ago. Over the last week, I have called this company three times hoping to schedule or confirm a time on the day of the scheduled move. Twice I called the day before the move and was told it may be pushed out or late due to high demand and curfew changes. Each time I called, the answer was vague, blaming safety and required curfews which is understandable if they had updated me on any of this along the way. I had to call for each update which again left me with no idea as to when the movers would come. I was told that I would be notified an hour prior to their arrival, however, I received a phone call 25 minutes prior to this. I had to scramble and luckily I was awake and close to my old address. The driver of the truck was great, amazing, really the only positive experience I had throughout today. He had two workers with him who do all of the moving. One worker tells me he is brand new and has had no training (which would be less alarming if they weren’t charging me by the hour). The other worker has apparently been there for a few weeks so a little more experience. I am waiting for them to take a load from my apartment to the truck, I’m in the next room and I overhear one of the movers say, “yeah so with this we really want to take our time because we get paid by the hour so the longer we take, the more we will make.” Even the driver came up to my apartment and asked them why was taking them so long. I had FIVE pieces of furniture that needed to be moved from a studio apartment and it took them TWO POINT FIVE hours. The old address and new address are literally a five minute drive apart. The driver was empathetic, caring and able to give these young newbies some direction in an attempt to get them moving. The driver tried to tell them that they were wrong and they make more money the more deliveries they complete but these two young guys didn’t care. I called management, upset about the lack of communication, how last minute I had the notification of their arrival and the disturbing comments I heard from my movers and management just passive aggressively stated their frustrations with curfew, changes they have been forced to implement and did not have anything to offer me in return of this terrible experience. In summation, I won’t be using their business again and would not recommend it. I don’t expect any business to be perfect but there were too many issues with this experience and no apology or compensation for the inconvenience and poor service.

Review:

We recently moved from Raleigh to the mountains of western NC and used All My Sons. We got quotes from several movers and All My Sons had the lowest cost but great service. Dominic and his crew were efficient and respectful and treated our belongings well from start to finish. They also kept us informed at every step of the process and answered all our questions. We highly recommend All My Sons for a great experience.

0/5 stars. We booked more than a month in advance, paid a deposit, were told the company would follow up a few days before with exact timing. No one ever followed up, and when we called to inquire the day before, we were told the times weren’t set yet. We finally were given a window of 12-5 pm later in the day before moving day. At 4:30 pm on moving day we get a call that they actually can’t move us that day. ENTIRELY unacceptable. When you book a moving company, the very most basic thing one expects is to KNOW for certain that someone is going to come and move your stuff on the day you agreed upon. So if you don’t care about spending a lot of money for your moving company to cancel on you at the very last minute, then this might be the one for you!! Update: they also broke our 65 inch flatscreen TV. Truly worst moving experience ever!

I cannot express enough how appreciative we are of the entire team. Between the flexibility of the office staff and coordinators to the professionalism of the movers, we couldn’t be happier. It made an already stressful day so much easier! I will highly recommend working with this team.
