Chris and his team did an excellent job making my move stress free! Even though I have been crazy busy at work, I didn’t have to worry about my move, so I am very grateful! Chris made everything clear and helped everything move smoothly. The team handled my furniture with care as though it was their own! They left everything at my new apartment like it was in my old apartment. I will definitely be recommending All My Sons to friends! From the phone call with the initial quote to the last piece of furniture moved in, I was more than pleased with the professionalism and care I experienced!
If I could rate lower than 1 star I would. I will never make this mistake again and I will warn everyone I know to avoid this company. In September I was fortunate enough to sell my house after only a week on the market but unfortunately my new home would not be ready for at least another 30-60 days. All of my belongings would need to go into a storage unit for the next 2 months and i would have to live in an extended stay temporarily. The move started out "ok" for the most part. The crew was 3 young guys; on time, courteous, and friendly. When they arrived, i showed them through my home and highlighted my most valued/irreplaceable item so they would know to take special care of it. The crew got to work and started taping the furniture. Cardboard was used to protect glass doors and then the items were wrapped in the moving blankets. No complaints thus far. When they started to load the mattresses, i asked about mattress bags that i had requested over the phone and was quoted. No mattress bags were on the truck available to use. Because i would be living in a hotel, i could only take limited necessary items so many of the dressers still contained clothing. In previous experience movers like to remove the drawers when moving the item and then replace them when loaded to help reduce the weight. This didn't happen as entire dressers were wrapped in plastic and then furniture blankets. The guys seemed to be able to manage them with no problems so i let it go. However i did observe that they were set down on a side vs. upright and even one was upside down. Several of the dressers are 60+ years old and have decorative wood trim on three sides as was the style back in the day. This would not make the top a flat even surface, but items were placed on that end none the less. The truck was finally loaded about 2 pm. I offered that it would be a good time to break for lunch and then we could meet up at the storage unit location (less than 5 minutes away) for the unload. At this time one of the crew members indicated they were fine to keep going while another commented that they didn't have any money for lunch. I had already withdrawn the cash for their tip so in my generous spirit i offered to give it to them early so they could have lunch. An hour later they met me at the storage unit location and the unload began. One of the first items they unloaded was one of those over the toilet bathroom storage cabinets. Two of the legs had broken off during the drive and one of the crew was trying to tape them on with the packing tape. It wasn't working and i wasn't going to use something taped so i just told him not to bother trying to fix it any more. At one point i noticed my upside down dresser set on one of the loading carts outside the storage unit. I did not see when it was placed into the unit as i was going back and forth between the unit and the truck and to make sure the door was open. The storage facility was a secure facility and a code had to be used to open the doors unless the motion sensor inside was triggered. When they reached the "attic" portion of the truck where most of the boxes were located, i heard a commotion as apparently a stack of boxes fell on one of the crew and to the floor of the truck. As the boxes were loaded onto the hand truck i noticed boxes marked fragile upside down or small boxes stacked under larger heavier ones. So the unit was filled with space to spare and we reviewed the bill. I was credited for the cost of the mattress pads that never were used. Fast forward two months to moving day and unloading the storage unit. Thankfully i trusted my gut and went with a different company i had used before. The photos attached show the damage inflicted to my furniture as it was loaded into the storage unit by the AMS crew. As we unloaded the storage unit we discovered dressers stored on top of others and also upside down. I filed a claim with AMS and it has been denied claiming they aren't responsible once their truck and crew left the storage facility. The photos speak for themselves.
Working with All my son's has been a great experience. Zachary Allred, his crew of Josh and Jordan and the office staff Steven Endicott are the best. I had received quotes from other companies and All my son's came in under with there estimate. With this in mind I know you get what you pay for. After thinking it over I decided to go with them. It was the best choice I could of made besides marrying my husband. Steven stayed in touch with me and answered all my questions up to moving day. Zach called me just like Steven said he would, 30 mins prior to arrival. I was told my window would be between 12 and 3pm. They rolled up at 1230/1245. We walked them thru what we needed done and started right away. The guys wrapped up all the furniture nice and tight and powered thru unloading. I felt like I was very disorganized but they didn't seem to mind. It started to rain and they made sure to lay down pads so they would not get the floors dirty. Unfortunately, we will not need to call them any time soon because we moved into our forever home. But I will be telling everyone I know to give them a call. I'm greatful I was able to meet such wonderful gentleman. All my son's hired a great crew. Thank you all again for your hard work and patience with us.
