My friend recently used All Star for a move, and she had an extraordinarily bad experience with the owner, Matt. All Star required that she remove her negative Google review before they would reimburse her money for their poor service. However, if I were shopping for reliable movers, I would want to be warned. I would want to have access to this review: I used All Star for a recent move. When the movers showed up (I hired two) one immediately excused himself to the bathroom where he remained for 10-15 minutes. The other mover told me they had been out drinking until 2:00 am the night before. The mover who used the bathroom, later in the day was MIA for around 20 minutes, when he reappeared I overheard the other mover say 'nice to see you again.' By the end of the move, both were moving slowly which added to the time of the move. They had to make two runs to get all my belongings which I did find frustrating as I had completed their document identifying all my belongings to be moved, which they said would be used to ensure they had a big enough truck. This also added time to the move. During the move they dropped my dryer, which I'm glad I was present to witness. When I asked this be notated on the receipt, the mover acted nervous but did document it. The dryer is fine and none of my other belongings appear to have been damaged. I contacted the office to report my concerns and request a reimbursement of the last 30 minutes of the move. I was told my concerns would be looked into and I would be contacted with a resolution. A week went by and I did not hear back from anyone so I called the office. The woman excused the movers' behavior as 'industry standard,' stated the movers were family men and not drinkers, and that she had not discussed the extended bathroom session 'because that's personal, what do you want to happen about that?' My concerns were completely disregarded as well as implied to be un-true. The person I was speaking to said she would again discuss the option of a reimbursement with the owner and follow up with me. A couple hours later, the owner Matt, called me. He was argumentative from the beginning, defending the behaviors of his worker, implying I was misinterpreting events and dismissive of what I was saying. I got straight to the point and asked if a 30 minute reimbursement was an option to which he laughed and said no. I said there was no longer a need for this conversation to continue as he was only fighting with me. He talked over me and said 'you complained about them being hung over, when in reality it was you who was hung over.' At this point I told him good bye and ended the call. Yes I was hung over, but I wasn't the one who had been hired to move. My state of being has nothing to do with this situation, and his comment shows he had no legs to stand on in defense of his worker and was lashing out. Reviews on here dating back to 2014 report similar behaviors from Matt. If the owner, Matt, responds to my review, I expect it will be subjective, emotional, defensive, and insulting towards me. Let's see.
One of the best guys in the market of Packers and Movers. Clean work and they deliver the things with utmost care and professionalism. They pack the breakable things and sofas with quilt and plastic polythene sheets. They were so polite and unload the items without hustle and great dedication.
