The real problem is there is no consumer protection from companies like this. Some kind of legislation needs to happen or scams like this will continue & it’s not just Always Affordable Moving that cheats us out of our money it’s the entire industry. My horror story is the same as all of the other reviews. They lie, cheat, misrepresent, break your property, & loose your possessions. Don’t label your boxes to indicate China, silverware, crystal or anything valuable, that’s what they look for, & that’s what they take. They hold your possessions at ransom & you have NO control. I used a broker called Gateway Express out of Ormond Beach, Fl, & their your best friends until you give them a deposit. After that they don’t answer your calls or return calls, that’s your first indicator your screwed. They got your money & now the trucker gets his turn. BEWARE & BE PREPARED
It’s been 3 weeks since they picked up my household, they promised me to deliver before two weeks. They don’t answer my calls and no update whatsoever. If there is a negative star, I will give them
I have recently just moved from Lake Placid New York to North Bend Washington. I had contacted Trinity as the broker and was assigned affordable movers. The estimate that I had gotten from Trinity and the actual bill I received was over $2000 more. I have mostly antiques that I move cross country and I stated that I needed them packed carefully and well, and almost everything was broken, scratched, and packed in the truck so tightly that I believe some of the damage was done in trying to even get it out. I had asked for notice of when they may be arriving in Washington, as I needed to make arrangements and I got a call less than 24 hours of the arrival. The first thing the driver asked me for was payment, which threw me off as I wanted to go through and make sure all of my items were Actually accounted for. He stated I had to give him the money before they unloaded, and that I had up to three months to file a claim for any damages. They stated everything was unloaded and when I did a visual estimate of my items I noticed my antique highboy, which is a very large wooden 10 drawer chest was missing. I have no idea if some of my boxes are missing as they never went through any of the inventory list, And when I insisted that my Hyde boy was not there they did find it in the truck. I would never use Trinity, or this moving company that is not Always Affordable
Route 66 (DOT license #3100083) booked this moving company for us. Every time we spoke to either company, the price was raised on us. We asked for our furniture to be delivered on September 1st. After weeks of zero communication, It did not arrive until October 13th. We were given less than 24 hours notice, THEY RAISED THE PRICE AGAIN, and we had to scramble — on a Sunday — to produce extra cash for them. This is the worst experience I’ve had with a business ever.
I too would give this company ZERO stars! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The most disrespectful, rude people I have ever dealt with. They picked up my stuff fine and then I could not get a hold of anyone. No one would return my call and the number I was given to call to check on my delivery date was always a full mailbox. After 5 days I was told they were still working on a schedule. 10 days later they showed up (after I was quoted 3-5 days) with my stuff and demanded more money because the truck was too big to back in. They told me if I didn't go get them more money they would put my stuff in storage. Worst experience ever. NEVER use this company! I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. These people should not be in business!
