Original review: Lots of stuff broken in the move. Terrible customer experience. Take photos before and after. Beware! Reply to Anderson Van and Storage: I have your inspection report from the delivery to your storage facility. A chair (a designer recliner worth over $4000) was intact on delivery. I received it smashed; the solid steel pedestal base was a folded like a pancake. It is unsalvageable. This happened in your warehouse. From the photos I see you stack things high. This kind of damage could only happen if it had been dropped from a great distance. We have received no apologies or concerns from you or your staff at any time in regards to our losses, just blame shifting. I’m not even beginning to describe the other damages. We are a military family and we’ve moved 8 times in the last 15 years. Never have we ever had an experience like this. Opposing popular belief, we are not that resilient. Aside from the personal losses and distresses we’re reimbursed only quarters on the dollar we lose from companies like yours; yet today you are still in business while we pick up the pieces. Hopefully future PCS movers will read this review and request a different carrier if they have been assigned Anderson Van & Storage.
Great people to deal with family owned bussiness and does a great job
Great family owned moving business
Worst experience. I hired this company to move my items 2 miles down the street. When I called, a lady begin answering a few questions over the phone. She explained how I could hire two men for 140$ per hr minimum of 3 hours or 3 men for 175$ per hr. I called 3 other companies with better ratings but they were booked so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I called the lady back and scheduled for July 18th and ordered the 2 men service. A few days before my scheduled appointment, I called the lady back I had a few questions regarding the size of their truck since that was never mentioned when I scheduled the appointment as no questions were asked. I told her the size of my house is 2000 square ft and that I wanted to make sure everything was going to fit I gave her some details of some the items. She said I had nothing to worry about as the truck is 26 ft long. Big moving truck. The day of the appointment 3 men showed up one that was not wearing any uniform. When I looked at the paperwork it said 2 men and the main guy said he needed extra help with his other jobs and not to worry. 40 minutes into the service the same lady who I believe her name is Nancy called me she wanted to charge me for 3 men because I didn't mention all the items I had. I couldn't believe this was happening. The guys already had more then half of my stuff in the truck. I was so confused. First of all, she never asked for any details of the items. Secondly, I didn't request for 3 men. She gave me an ultimatum; either I paid for the 3 men service or they would take everything out of the truck. I was in complete shock! Is this person on drugs?! You can't suddenly Flip the deal like that when your men are already in Action! I dont recommend this company at all! Worst experience ever! Next time I'll just go by what the Reviews say.
If I could give zero stars, I would. So disappointed with a company that is suppose to be military friendly. Very rude employees who not only treated my husband and I poorly, but our belongings as well. Wrapping wall decor items in rugs? Seriously? Not wrapping up our box spring to which we were promised would be done “when we get to our warehouse”? Finding things that we asked specifically to be wrapped and packaged coming of the truck not up to par? We’re lucky our items weren’t damaged or lost! Not to mention your inventory sheet that you wouldn’t let us see until after you loaded everything up.. what’s the point if we can’t see what you wrote? You listed brand new items as scratched and damaged... items that were still in their original packaging; I’m glad we were able to spot your little trick quick! Oh and thanks for losing pieces to my bookshelf, after we asked you to wrap them in front of us, not at your warehouse. If your PCSing to or from VAFB, beware! Not a trustworthy or reputable company! Take pictures of all your items and document everything (like the pictures I took of my bedspring...) Request to TMO a different moving company if you can. This company is not worth a dime! Maybe it’s time that TMO contracts out a company who cares because I know we aren’t the first family to file a complaint.
