We did a move from Long Island to New Jersey. I can say enough good things about Avatar. Chris came to our house was very friendly and thorough, gave us tips and advice. Wasn’t pushy and pricing was very good. The guys who moved us were excellent- showed up on time - were very careful with our furniture and boxes. Polite, clean, professional and prompt. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Avatar. I would definitely recommend them.

This review is a bit odd in the fact that I didn't take advantage of Avatar Relocation's moving services but still feel compelled to provide a review. (I live in a geographic area outside of their prime coverage area) I recently moved and had some questions about verifying the exact weight of my shipment. So I jumped online, went on Google in search of someone from the moving industry who could shed some insight into how to handle my situation. I found a blog post that addressed the exact question I had and was really impressed with the depth of knowledge evidenced in the blog post. A phone number was included in the writer's byline, so I took a chance and called to see if I could tap into his experience. I connected with Chris Noblit and shared my situation with him. The best way to describe the experience is in an analogy: it was like suffering from a mysterious ailment and going to see a highly experienced doctor who zeroed in with great questions and in ten minutes I had a solution - with my moving issue I had a plan to deal with the weight discrepancies in my mover's invoices. So, my takeaways were: 1. Here's an experienced moving pro willing to take a call from someone who isn't a client and devising a way to solve my problem. 2. He shed light on the "foggy areas" in moving that other movers steer clear of. 3. He led me to resources I didn't have to help me effectively communicate my requirements to my moving company. 4. He offered his time at any point in the future if I needed help with a moving question or issue. 5. I'm not a client, most likely won't ever be a client due to my geographic location and here he is spending time to help me. 6. It makes me wonder, if he's doing this for me - what the heck do his clients get? 7. It must be a low stress, satisfying and totally efficient experience working with Avatar on a move. If you're moving into or out of New York, you'd be missing out on a dead solid moving experience if you didn't use these guys. P.S. I've moved six times in the last 20 years and have experienced all manner of moving companies - mostly mediocre at best. They need to open an office in my area so I can see how a move should really go!

We had a wonderful experience with my move from Long Island to South Florida. We received quotes from a few companies and all said that Avatar could not deliver in such a short time frame. I confirmed with Chris if they could do it and he said yes. Sure enough we got our home delivered right when he said. It was imperative as we had two babies to take care of; that we get our items ASAP, and they delivered. Additionally the weight of the order was significantly less than estimated which was reflected that with a notable discount over what was estimated. In both instances of trust which is so paramount in movers they delivered with flying colors. We had them do a full pack up of our home and everything came in pristine condition. Their packing crew was wonderful and got everything done so fast. I would highly recommend Avatar to anybody looking for a moving company. We are so happy we selected them.

Chris and his team are complete professionals. I used them to move my mother in law from her home of 55 years. It was a large move. They handled everything including packing and labeling the boxes. They were very accommodating with our scheduling requests. They even moved her grand piano! They were also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Avatar and would definately use them again.

Avatar made a stressful moving experience much easier. They were on-time, the 3 movers were polite and professional. They expertly wrapped and packed up two large glass display cabinets, a Grandfather clock, tables, chairs, sofas etc. The price was very fair. So Glad I made the decision to use these guys!
