Bayou Moving and Junk Removal

The movers were very polite but they didn’t have the proper equipment to move my furniture. They informed me they usually have an extra guy but it was only two of them. I was also informed they had a better truck With better equipment but it was in use at the time. They were not prepared for the move. It took 3 hours to load half of an one bedroom apt. I paid for 5 hours and I had to get my family and friends to move the rest of my furniture. The truck had more than enough space to fit my whole apartment but it would’ve taken them twice as long because they didn’t have the help or proper equipment for heavy duty furniture.

They were very punctual and professional. We were skeptical about hiring a moving company, but we were moving out of a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. It was worth every penny! The guys took care of all of our possessions. They really turned a stressful time into an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.

Jacques, the owner of Bayou Moving, went the extra mile to make sure our move was on time. When the team ran a little late, he added an extra mover. They worked late one evening, packing and wrapping furniture so they could get an early start the next day. All of the movers, 5 including Jacques, were very professional in the way that they handled our furniture and household goods. Nothing was broken or got dirty. They were all strong, young men — unlike other movers we have had who have sent older, out of shape guys who looked like they would have a heart attack any moment. (And, yes, national companies!!) On Moving Day, they worked 9 hours with only one short break for lunch. Jacques and his team are all very likable, respectful, and easy to work with. Our move was particularly stressful, and Bayou Moving made Moving Day fun and enjoyable for us. If I could give this company 10 stars, if I would. Fantastic, Professional, Committed, Happy Movers!! Jacque and Allen helped us move from the French Quarter to Mandeville. They were very professional and made our move so easy. My girlfriend was stressed for days, and when they came in they put our fears at ease. Quick and effective, yet very careful with our fragile items. We are forever grateful for Bayou Moving!
