Bayside Moving & Storage, Traverse City MI

We moved from Michigan to Georgia. Good review and estimate. They weren't the cheapest, but no extra charges. I was concerned our items would needed to be off-loaded from the van and shuttled into our new home. This proved to be the case, but there was no extra charge. We had a lot of items to move and only 3 items were damaged; one we packed, a broken cement statue that was repaired prior to delivery, and a glass hurricane lamp packed by the movers. We filed a claim for the lamp and were reimbursed the full value we requested for the lamp. We packed almost 200 boxes and Mayflower packed about 230 boxes. For the most part, they packed the boxes well and handled loading of the van well. We did not see the off-loading of our items, and although the unloading was completed carefully, I don't think they were as careful with our items as those initially loading them onto the van. The driver did a good job coordinating the loading, unloading, and getting our stuff to us in a very timely manner.

We hired Bayside to move us to Florida. They came with a beat up old moving truck with a different company logo. They were very unprofessional and broke some of our furniture. When hired they told us they were very good at moving motorcycles as we had two very expensive motorcycles to move along with the furniture. Not only did they wreck some expensive stuff but they also scratched and dented the motorcycles causing thousands of dollars in damage. We found out later that they hire guys out of truck stops for day labor to do the work. Very unprofessional and they have not responded to the many emails and calls about paying for the damages. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Our company wasn't sure if we were going to take all of our older furniture to our new location or not but I wanted to get a quote if we did. Buzz came out that same day and gave us a surprisingly reasonable number to move all of our office furniture. We ended up buying new, but when I move in the future I would use their services in a heartbeat! No lifting for me!
