I was 100 % pleased with the Bekins move. From packing & loading to arrival and unloading, the workers were efficient, courteous, and fully experienced with what the job entailed. Thank you workers and Bekins.
Def do not recommend using this company at. I used them this year on my first move of my life and would never use them again. I found some of my belongings not the way they we're before I moved like my table saw unit is bent from to much weight being on top of it, things are scratched, dented etc. Plus at the end of the move they told me they couldn't move things with gas in them which I totally understand but when I went to pick the couple things up after paying them and giving them a very generous tip, I found they left a bunch of stuff like clothes and such that don't need gas! I will never use this company again and don't recommend using them.
Worst move we ever experience. We have moved multiple times including New Jersey to Alaska and Alaska to PA. We used Bekins on our Alaska moves and everything arrived perfect. The move from PA to Maine was a disaster. Almost every piece of furniture arrived damaged in some way. Even the seat on our bicycle arrived with a large tear, jewelry boxes destroyed and unuseable, glass broken, antique figurines were packed in a tissue box and some between pillows. Bed posts chipped, mattresses arrive unprotected, furniture arrived unwrapped with chairs stacked upon each other, two large bookshelves arrived with scratch shelves and broken seams (these bookcases were moved from Alaska and each shelf was taken off and individually wrapped, Bekins Wilkes Barre did not do this causing the shelves to crash down upon each other causing damage to shelves and bookcases). Plastic storage bins arrived with large hole punctures and cracks, an end table arrived totally destroyed. The list goes on.... We filed a claim with our homeowners insurance and they did not pay stating the damage was due to the mover's negligence. I mailed a certified letter to Mark Kirshner, CEO and with a copy to Bekins Wilkes-Barre. No response whatsoever. I did not file a claim with Bekins as the process is cumbersome and overwhelming. With over 30+ items damaged it's impossible to remember where you purchased, when you purchased, the cost, the replacement value, etc. I don't understand how our beautiful furnishings were move across country (Alaska and back) without a single incident and yet the move from PA to ME caused so much damage we are sicken. Also, when hiring Bekins we expected 1 large moving van, however Bekins arrived with 2 panel trucks (one was for packing supplies). The packing truck was used for our furnishings and unknown to us our furnishings were unpacked and reloaded to another truck offsite. This is absolutely unacceptable. We will never use Bekins again.
