Hired two guys for three hours to load a 6'x12' trailer and they were amazing. They worked hard, and packed everything perfectly so that nothing moved over a 20 hour drive. They handled some delicate perspnal situations very professionally and treated everything with respect and care. I can't say enough good things about my experience.

Update as of 11/14/2024:
Well, my container arrived in AZ today and was unloaded. Now I know why the guys were so quick. Even though moving blankets, moving wrap, and other protective supplies were provided, very little was used. I gave these guys such a good review and a huge tip. Almost as much as the loading cost. To make it even worse, when I called to report the damage, the guy on the phone said I doubt they didn't use the items supplied as one of the two guys was experienced. He asked if I took pictures of them loading and inspect the container before they left since afterwards they are not responsible. They moved so fast how could I babysit anything they did. How do I see the back of a 16' trailer to make sure all is good?? He asked me, 'What would you like us to do about it?' I wanted to say nothing because like anything to do with movers, they don't own or take responsibility for anything! Instead I said is there a claim process. Told to email pictures and they will look into it. HA! So since I am sure nothing will be done, I decided to post an update here and warn that you have to babysit, take pictures and accept what they do. Yes, they are quick and affordable but they are 'movers' after all and don't care about anything you have or own anything they do.
Origunal post 11/2:
Wow! Jackson and Jace loaded a 16 foot container for me today in record time. Two story with all three bedroo.s upstairs. They did a wonderful job!!! No messing around and worked every minute they were here. I would definitely use Big Boy Movers again...especially if these two young men are part of my crew. My mom will be moving from the Boise area spring of 2025 and I have already put in a good word with her! Thank you for the help today guys!

Preston and Noah did an incredible job loading our truck. Everything arrived in one piece. Nothing broken. They were efficient. Never stopped once for a break. We had a lot of stuff! Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

I have used this company twice. The first time was to move everything into the garage because I was replacing all the flooring in the house. When they moved my stuff back into the house they did it quickly. Actually, too quickly. Obviously 2 men would finish this amount of stuff well within the allotted time frame so no reason to rush and plenty of time to do it carefully. When moving the recliner into the bedroom they didn’t take the back off and move it in separate pieces. One guy manhandled it through the door and the foot scraped a very noticeable gouge in the door jam just above the latch plate. He didn’t care. No sorry or anything. Basically just too bad to me. I had recently had the entire interior painted including door jams and trim.

This last time my job was loading a PODS for a long distance move. As before the workers arrived as scheduled. They were pleasant and friendly. I showed them where all the boxes were and what was to be loaded. I had purchased packing blankets and large rolls of plastic for wrapping around dressers and as needed. They didn’t evaluate the job as a whole and make a plan. They simply went room to room and loaded the stuff. They basically wanted to wrap everything with packing blankets and secure with packing tape. They went through 2 full rolls of tape. They used every throw available as I hadn’t expected this approach. They were reluctant to use the plastic to wrap anything except where I insisted. They seemed inept in using it. Clearly, they don’t secure drawers or cabinets in this way. The PODS was not loaded tight. Nor was the load adequately secured. I had a 16’ container where 12’ would have been enough so there was room leftover as expected. I had purchased straps to secure the load. I could see they weren’t using them correctly or often enough. There was no reason for the contents shifting and falling in the container as they did. They had secured the ends of tape on the wood furniture which marred the finish. I’ve hired professional movers before. I know what the load looks like when they’re finished. I know what they ask the customer and how things are protected. They did a basically adequate job. This was not professional work.
