We agree with the review Zach Wilky posted. We had Similar non responses or return calls, and no paper contract or written estimate to move our 10x10 shed about 30 feet in our yard. He also only wanted to be paid in cash. $1000.00 in $100 bills. Chet Was a no show on our scheduled Friday appt. date. When we called after waiting about an hour and a half past scheduled time , no answer after 3 calls, when he finally returned our call he said he was feeling woozy and took some medicine. I asked if he was going to come that day and he said he’d call back about noon. He actually did call, but said his helper flaked out on him so he couldn’t do it that day. I asked when he could come, we finally agreed upon the next Tuesday. I asked him to call the day before to confirm the appt and he said if he didn’t call, for us to call him. We ended up calling him. He actually answered and my husband asked if he was still coming on Tuesday morning and Chet said oh, something came up so he couldn’t do it tomorrow and wasn’t sure when he could, so my husband said how about on Friday and Chet said that should work and agreed on a time, about 8:30 in the morning. We started getting an uneasy feeling and felt that Chet did not seem very professional and is not reliable with his commitments. And upon reading the review comments from other people, we decided our conclusions were right and so my husband called Chet back and cancelled the Friday appointment. We will not recommend him to anyone.
He charged me 500 dollars for a 5 dollar piece of plastic and put it on my roof stating it was the cause of a leak. More water damage as they was not the cause of the problem. Thank Chet for pulling up with you wife, jumping out for 5 minutes and charging 500 dollars for a worthless job that cause more water damage. He seamed like a greased up take televangelist except he sold bad jobs and my home is still leaking.
Called to ask for a quote, I texted the address where the cabin to be move is located and even sent him a picture. He did not call back. No even a text message. So I hired some one else
Chet is either a criminal or just criminally negligent. Notice the lack of recent or up-to-date photos of jobs or any company branded moving equipment on his website. Very suspicious, but not proof of anything. Chet will only respond to phone calls and does not communicate via email, does not receive or leave voicemail messages, and does not use text messaging of any kind. Almost as if he does not want any traceable communication or a paper trail. Again, this does not prove anything, but definitely a bit odd in 2019. Uber Eats sends you 5 emails and 2 receipts when you order $20 of takeout, but Chet can't provide a single piece of written communication for a $3500 transaction? Chet expected (and nearly demanded) that I agree to have him move a shed with no receipt, no written bill, and no official communication regarding the estimate or the final cost. He insisted that he be paid in cash but would not provide a written contract "in case he gets audited". He expected me to research his route and provide information about clearances and permit laws. He missed deadlines for providing the estimate (that his own website promises can be done within 48 hours - a total lie), repeatedly pushed back the timeline for the move because of mechanical issues with his equipment, and was a no-show on the day of the move. He called hours afterwards to explain that he had a stomach ache and would be unable to do the job. It was at this point that I could no longer ignore so many red flags. If I were attempting to scam someone, I would act exactly like Chet. Chet wasted hours of my time (including time in which I personally drove him over 75 miles to and from the pickup and dropoff sites in my own vehicle, to allow him to give me an accurate estimate - a totally bizarre request from an allegedly professional contractor) and no-showed a $3500 deal over a stomach ache. Take your business elsewhere.
