Review:

The delivery guys were very nice. It was drizzling outside and they did their best to keep my floor clean. They asked if I had felt pads for the table legs and took the time to put them on. The only odd thing was that the table had a center leg. They said that there was no place to put it in the center of the table. My husband and I felt that the table was strong enough not to need a center leg. I am not sure what we would have done if we thought it was necessary. I guess that we would have had them call the store owner.

We were very happy with the crew that moved us from Childs Express. The guys were kind, hard workers. We were impressed with their attention to detail. This was our third move with this company. Highly recommend. Thank you so much Childs Express!

Review:

Childs Express came very highly recommended. We used them for the Baltimore end of a cross-country move with Bekins. I cannot fully express the depth of my disappointment with this experience. China was improperly wrapped (packers "ran out of paper"?!) and arrived in a crushed carton with, incredibly, only two plates broken. The doors of this hutch were not secured and it arrived with one door broken off at the hinge, a piece of wood from the edge of the door taped back on with packing tape, one leg broken off completely and the brass lock mechanism broken & missing. The list of complaints goes on. My cousin used Childs the same month that we did and three of her four tables arrived with legs snapped in two pieces. To add insult to injury, Childs grossly overestimated the weight of our move, approximately doubling the weight of many items. Needless to say, this greatly increased our cost, which given the poor service, is rather hard to swallow. Because we only caught it in retrospect, Childs claims there's nothing they can do to correct the error. We're in the process of filing a claim with Bekins... we'll see what happens with that. In the meantime, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for reliable movers.
