Mr. James is an excellent rep for this company. Pulled no punches & worked with me as much as he could. I thank him for his assistance with my move.
They helped to make the move easier. Worked by the plan.
love working here. great company
Our experience started with Craig James and it could not have gone better. He is experienced, knowledgeable and knows his craft. We had Stefan as our driver who is a hard worker and wants to make sure your experience is very positive. Catrina coordinated everything from the office and kept us informed of all the steps and movement of the household goods. Customer Service is first rate with this team.
8 months of hell Too many issues, so I’m only going to mention the major issues. Move was from Michigan to North Carolina and items that were moved were primarily furniture. The furniture was picked up on January 3, 2018 and put in their warehouse storage. The furniture was scheduled to be delivered on 6/11/18. The delivery gentleman from United Van Line shows up at my door and says “you are aware that I do not have all of your furniture, there was not enough room”. NO I was not aware and this was not communicated with me. Second delivery was scheduled for 6/28/18. The delivery gentleman from United Van Lines shows up at our door “you are aware that 3 pieces are severely damaged”. Again I was not made aware of this. The gentleman told me that he had worked for this company for 30 years and had NEVER seen this much damage in a delivery. I was told when I called the office that the furniture fell in the warehouse in Michigan… guess no one want to give me the unfortunate news. Damages were; 5 of 8 pieces of office furniture, dining room table brace was broken off, and an armoire base was detached from the unit due to the piece being shipped on its side along with a huge gouge down one of the doors and side damage that could not be assessed due to, that the piece could not be stood upright. These were pricey pieces of furniture in excellent condition before move. Furniture was picked up for repair 8/20/18 and we were told it would be 8-10 weeks. Yes we purchased the extended insurance on the move, but what they don’t tell you is that if the furniture can be repaired for less than the replacement cost, you have the choice to repair or receive the amount the repair furniture estimates to repair the furniture. We did not hear from the company for 10 weeks. We called at 10 weeks and were told that there were delays due to weather. The dining room table was fixed and repaired the Friday before Thanksgiving (14 weeks). The rest of the furniture was delivered 12/21/18 (18 weeks). There were issues that needed to be addressed. Armoire doors had to be sent back could clearly see the repair. We have always been the one to initiate communication with company. We were told that the furniture would be repaired to the pre-move condition, which is not the case. We have concerns to how the furniture will hold up, due to the way it was repaired and the conditions of the repairs. We feel that we have been more than patient considering it took 4 1/2 months for the furniture to be repaired and then several attempts to correct issues. We have dealt with an office /den that was unusable for 7 months, due to broken furniture and then the pieces of the broken furniture that were not damaged that needed to be stored, repair people at our house for four hours on two occasions, and the list goes on. WE HAVE RECEIVED MANY apologies, but no offers of compensation. OUR BIGGEST MISTAKE WAS PICKING THIS COMPANY!
