The best experience we ever had! Charles and the team cared, listened and made sure things went well. From the quote to the final piece unloaded, it was perfect!!!

Do yourself a favor and pack it and move it yourself!!We figured it would be less stress but it added more to the move! We had most of our stuff already packed and they ended up going through the boxes again repacking and inventorying it. I have no clue who decided to throw one shoe in the kitchen utensils box and why my drying rack for the dishes was in the outdoor storage box. The cable for our reclining sofa was stripped down to the wire because it was smashed. I called the company but the lady picking up the phone was not understanding at all and did not seem to believe me. I will never again use a moving company.

This company moved my elderly parents last week and we could not be happier, they took great care of their stuff and arrived promptly. And they stuck to the estimate given also. Thanks guys for taking care of my parents

Wow! I wish there was a TEN star option available! I just completed a Long Distance move from Carlisle, PA to Maumelle, AR. The Downey family was extremely accommodating to my preferred pickup and delivery dates, even though it was peak season! Tabatha was incredibly responsive every step of the way, calling me frequently to give me updates and answer any questions I had. The Downey crew and drivers were excellent! Highly trained and equipped to handle all our belongings with the utmost care and respect. I have had some horrible moving experiences in the past so the Downey family was a real blessing to us and took a lot of stress out of this move. Oh, the price you ask? They saved me over 15% compared to the three National Chains that I had bids from, and my stuff arrived in DAYS not WEEKS like the National chains were estimating. It is no wonder that their business is still thriving in the 3rd generation after over 60 years in business.
