This company was the absolute WORST!! They turn up with the "we do what we want" attitude. Tried to be kind, asking how they were etc and the "inspector" just answers by rolling her eyes. That was just to survey what they needed to do. Then the day they arrived, I had collapsed on my kitchen floor before their arrival, completely unconscious. Apparently, I was lying there for and hour, so when I came too, my body was sore, head pounding, and was in a haze of confusion. Noticing my phone sprawled on the floor, first, I called for medical assistance, then decided to contact Dunmar to apologize for the insane circumstances, (like the idiot I am) and was hoping I could get my husband's cousin guide then whilst I was in the hospital. Now, I understand the rules and conditions, but they left a voicemail on my phone that I had 2hrs to show or we'd be charged (husband and I). I was only unconscious for an hour and they left within a 20min span from what their texts and voicemails revealed, so I called to apologize and explain the circumstances... But the woman on the phone, who was the one who said I had 2hrs to get back to them, decided they changed their mind and treated me with an attitude, although, I was just trying to figure out what was going on and how much would I be charged. This woman wouldn't let me speak (although all I was trying to do was apologize and ask a question) and stated "we don't care about your well-being, we care about our time and money, now stop talking because I don't care." Good to know... I requested my husband to get a different company for our military overseas move/storage because obviously, these people don't give a damn about customers or their things, especially for the military. speaking with others who used them (over 20) it had been confirmed that many of their furniture/personal items were either damaged or missing! So now I am extremely happy that I dodge a bullet. As for my health, I'm alright, it turns out that I suffered from a mini-stroke, but I'm going to be alright.
I did an interstate move, the in-house estimate/walk-through was easy to schedule, the truck and movers showed up on time, or professional and courteous, and everything was loaded promptly. Communication was good upon arrival in my new state, and my belongings were carefully placed in storage. Pricing was upfront, and consistent with previous interstate moves. I had a consistent point of contact through the whole process. You may be able to find cheaper do it yourself, though if you’re looking for someone to move you, I would recommend this company to family and friends.
Sorry but our experience was absolutely horrible and would never recommend this company to anyone. Had to use them as it was booked/ paid for by my employer. Felt my coordinator was a poor communicator and when I said we could start move literally any time, she should have been more clear that it could take 2-4 weeks for our belongings to arrive! The packers were probably the biggest problem- with a complete disregard/ disrespect to our belongings so it was no surprise that almost every large piece of furniture was damaged/ cracked/ scratched, my china shattered, mirrors broken etc. Packers, loaders, & unloaders all different teams- who all complained about the other- and unloaders had trouble putting things together since wasn't packed together/ labeled correctly. They just started leaving boxes in garage (that were clearly labeled kitchen, master closet etc)...so ultimately ended with more work, headache, cleanup than if we had done it all ourselves. You can use TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and receive much better service and care for significantly cheaper!
