I used Eau Claire Moving and Storage to move my personal belongings from Mundelein, Illinois to northern Wisconsin 2 weeks ago. The 3 man team of Ryan, Andy and Allen packed my belongings meticulously for 2 days and moved out the 3rd day. I could not be more impressed by this team of professionals. I served in the Navy for 31 years and moved 10 times all over the world. I can honestly state this was the best move ever! I would use EC Moving and Storage again in a heartbeat. Dirk Hansen coordinated this move and was flexible and professional in all details. Great job!!!!

We were being moved from Eau Claire by my wife's company via the Atlas group. When the regularly scheduled driver broke down 4 hours away our coordinator had EC Moving remove our belongings from our home as we were closing on the home and leaving town the following day. So began our heart wrenching saga. Of all the disturbing events of that day, I came upstairs in the middle of the move to check corners that may have been forgotten and found an empty bag of beef jerky in a hidden corner of a closet. *Our* beef jerky that we purchased for our 1700 mile road trip. In a bathroom drawer I found the tops of the two bags. Words can't explain the sick feeling I got knowing these 3 guys just moved our entire household into a truck to be reloaded out of our sight at a later time, not to mention the potential embarrassment of handing over a home for the new owners to find trash stashed in closets and drawers. As uncomfortable as it was, I confronted all 3 movers about it and they denied taking them. Nothing went out the door protected besides the boxes. An irreplaceable bed my father-in-law literally handcrafted from the oak tree was out there leaning against garage shelving, waiting to be loaded. They showed up with no tools to disassemble larger items, nor did they offer to have them brought (it was part of our original +$9,000 Atlas contract and mine were packed) and it was my wife who ended up driving to get the tools from my brother and working the power drill while these guys waited around. Nothing was cataloged as it went into the truck as they said the new driver would inventory everything when it was reloaded. Needless to say my wife was in tears more than once that day because of these events, a day already made hard enough saying goodbye to family and friends. In hindsight, getting out of the movers' way and trusting them with our belongings was the biggest mistake we could have made. I am posting this review the following day and praying for the best in transit.
