Review:

We had to move out during COVID19 which is especially a tough time to move. They came protected with gloves and masks. Very professional, efficient, quick, respectful and very nice people! Prior to the move, they answered all my questions, was extremely prompt and very quick turnaround rate. They handled all our stuff with care (we had a bunch of fragile items). They are absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend them!

reviews 5/23/2020 5.0 star rating I was suddenly relocated for work from Chicago to New York and had to make a quick decision on a Moving Company and landed on Encore Moving and Storage because of their sound reputation in my area. From start to finish they exceeded all of my expectations. Their guys showed up and packed up our home quickly and efficiently. I knew I was asking a lot for a quick delivery esp during the new covid world we are living in but they absolutely delivered. I received my things in 5 days. I want to thank everyone at Encore for all they have done to help me and my family make a very tough life transition. I will recommend you guys to anyone I know that's moving. Stay safe!!!

Buyer beware. The worst moving experience we have ever had when moving employees. We contracted with Encore Moving Services of Algonquin, IL through a broker, who then gave Encore instructions to pick up property on 3/31 for a 5/1 move in. They were very late, loaded the furnishings, then produced a contract and required signature. In the fine print were many fine print rules, but it was 11pm, standing in the street, with all belongings in truck already, they signed contract. In language fine print was 30 business days to deliver from date, not the 30 days as was implied in all conversations prior to selecting Encore and picking up furnishings. Of course there is a broker, and young employees 1st big move accross country, with a 18 month old in tow during COVID 19. Employee informs broker they were leasing house beginning May 1st, and since contracts were signed in March believed and were promised furnishings were in transit soon and would arrive May 1st. With confidence from brokers promises, the employee moved into the house May 1st and began calling the broker, and eventually Encore for some understandings. Days passed, no furnishings, no communication from Encore. Frustrated, disappointed, and angry at the lack of empathy this supply chain showed for a young mother, her child, and their struggles to get their belongings now required their employer, its CEO, and multiple calls to all to get the truck to the address finally Fri, May 22. Upon getting the news, we the employer cut a bank issued cashiers check to present to movers upon arrival. Chase Bank was the issuer. The movers refused the cashiers check and forced the CEO to call Chase, get a bank manager to reversed out the cashiers check, and produce $2200 in cash. Upon returning with cash, employee is advised it will be another $80 for the hour they waited, and again Encore refused to unload the truck until she returned to the bank and retrieved $80. Further they refused to wear masks nor gloves when in residence during COVID 19 even tho it is CA state and county law to wear a mask in public on May 22. Endangering the welfare of our employees and their dependents, creating liability exposure for us, and the horrible manner in which Encore communicated, promised and never delivered on any said promises, excused themselves and placed blame on brokers and/or employees when asked for basic customer service, a company that consistently said what they did, and then failed to even remotely do so. Any response to this review from Encore Moving Services will be inauthentic, just as their representation and customer service considerations are. Buyer, Employer, anyone who values integrity and want to employ exceptional American companies should absolutely avoid this Encore Moving Services and its broker network and hire real professionals, this was a nightmare and will never be used again by our company.

I was almost happy with this company but they lost well over $500 worth of stuff. I had all clad pots and pans , and a lot of kitchen stuff that never got delivered. In order to file a claim, you have to upload the carbon copy which is totally illegible, so I can't read the info I need to input in order to begin the process of filing. THEY lost my stuff, yet I'm the one who has to file the claim. Very dissatisfied. update: So I filed a claim and they're denying any liability and giving me a $75 "good faith" check. They said because I signed for delivery, they aren't liable. Who opens boxes (probably 50 of them) while movers are there? I stored stuff with them, paid them them over $3,000 and tipped drivers well, and they take no responsibility. Go somewhere else!
