DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They under bid, charged twice as much, made me work while they were GONE FOR 3 HOURS (who does that?!?!) with promise of discount-then didn’t justify their final bill of $16,500! (Their bid was $8,007!) No final weight, no final box count including box sizes for accurate charges. Gouged my wood floors after removing the 3/4 inch foam I put down to protect it, dented and scratched our new fridge to high heaven, pieces of my like-new piano are missing, broke our garage door, leaving it open and our house exposed, and wouldn’t wait 10 minutes for me to get there to see it and do a final walk thru - when I told them I was on my way right then, they’d called while they were already on their way out of town! They are still refusing responsibility even tho we’ve never before or since had a problem with the door and it worked perfectly the night before - they moved items off the high shelves in the garage (right next to the open door on the ceiling) last. They made us pay in full when a truck arrived, and didn’t tell us that it was only partial delivery until it was empty and over 1/2 our things were still missing!!! Apparently our things have been on a truck for WEEKS in CALIFORNIA even tho we moved from IDAHO to TEXAS. I am horrified thinking of what condition our remaining belongings are in at this point. They have until Tuesday for final delivery before breach of contract and STILL WONT GUARANTEE DELIVERY. It took them WEEKS to finally tell us where our things are. Oh! And last week I got a call from the storage unit they used in Idaho - asking us for payment on the unit?!?!?! Apparently it still has some of their moving supplies in it?!?!?! Do yourself a HUGE FAVOR... if they show up at your door because they were contracted out (it was US Standard Moving that let us down there) JUST TURN THEM AWAY. ugh.

I had called United World Wide Moving for my move and was not informed I was being contracted out to some random company. I based my move on a reputable company not just some random no named company. They called me to see if I could do my move a day early which was fine but not only did I have to pay more as i was supposedly over the weight restriction but they damaged my fridge and doorways! When I called United they took no responsibility for this whole situation and just passed the buck! Now I have to file a claim and get $0.60 lb reimbursement which is not going to cover the cost of my fridge! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR UNITED WORLD WIDE MOVING! I would give them both a zero if it was an option!

We used a broker, International Van Lines (IVL) for our move from CT to TX. IVL Contracted Energy Moving Systems (EMS), for our move from CT to TX. Energy Moving Systems showed up and packed our stuff, and then stored it for three months, supposedly in a climate controlled facility (as per IVL), while we found a house in TX. We informed EMS of our first available date over 1 month out. They flat out refused to give us a window of when to expect our stuff, which made it impossible to plan a cross-country move, especially when you have two small kids. They always referred back to the contact that essentially limits them from any and all responsibility for delivery, damage, or loss. When they finally did give us an expected delivery they pushed it back 4 times. They told us our stuff was part of a larger load and was going to Tennessee first. The day before the expected delivery they informed me that my stuff was coming in an 18 Wheeler and they might not be able to deliver to my Community, and that I might have to pay for a “shuttle truck”. When my stuff did come it came in a box truck and the driver said that he picked the truck up from NY 2 days before and drove straight down, so everything they said was a lie! When my stuff did come my (2) 47” televisions were missing, some of my stuff was broken, and there was water damage. When trying to contact EMS I was dumped off to the insurance company that is offering a fraction of what the total damage costs are. After reaching back out to EMS they were little help and I couldn’t even get them to agree to call me back. Awful company, unprofessional at best! I understand that stuff like this happens with a move, but it is the manner of which my claim has been handled up to this point that is appalling!

Energy Moving Systems conducted my move from NY to FL. I had booked my move with International Van Lines (because of their high ratings) but they brokered the move (contrary to their promises) to Energy Moving Systems without informing me. If I could give a Zero Star rating I would (1 Star is too generous). Energy Moving Systems damaged several of my furniture items. They also added an unnecessary shuttle delivery charge (informing me less than 24 hours prior to delivery), threatening me with storage charges if I didn't accept. My final cost was 32% higher than was quoted by International Van Lines (despite no changes to my items list). For the furniture damage I was instructed me to file a claim with Anthem (a company they use for claims...but they are not an insurer!). Anthem declined my claim stating that I signed the Bill of Lading (which I was REQUIRED to sign and PAY IN FULL prior to Energy Moving unloading any items). Horrible experience! I continue to incur significant costs to repair and replace items. Make sure you get in writing exactly who is going to conduct your move and do your research.
