I recognize the five star rating and I question its legitimacy. Sad to say this was the most disappointing of our many moves. We always consider the likelihood of minimal loss or damage but not to this extent. In the beginning they spent considerable time at our home estimating the cost of relocating all of belongings from our main home and the guest house at $11,500.00. Between that time and moving day my wife and I ( thinking it would be safer for our ultra fragile and/or expensive collectibles) packed and moved all of the items in the guest house to the garage of the main house. Packed up another 40 or 50 boxes of stuff from main house and moved them to the garage. Instead of offloading and reloading everything at the warehouse it was the consensus of the parties that it would be safest if we moved directly to the new home. The distance was 500+ miles and 7 + hours. When they unloaded we noticed a few damaged items, not bad. They left us with 60+ boxes to empty and furnishings to rearrange and dust off. That's when we discovered broken and otherwise damaged items as we unpacked along with many damaged or destroyed furniture pieces and other large items scattered about the house. In addition, and most unsettling, on a trip directly from point of pickup to point of delivery several items turned up missing. In addition to lost and damaged items valued in the thousands of dollars the $11,500.00 estimate doubled when billed to nearly $23,000.00. In my humble opinion, making that the most expensive 550 miles and 36 hours in the history of moving. PS: Everything WE packed arrived safe and in 1 piece. The owner did APOLOGIZE. LOL
This morning, 10 Feb 2020, an excellent Gardiner & Sons team (Kenny Jr, James and Joey) conducted a local move for us within Port Charlotte. Our things included a number of large and hefty items and I was so very pleased with the team's thoughtful and efficient approach to plan and execute the move with care - - protecting both our household goods as well as their own safety. Also important, was their considerate and professional customer-care perspective throughout. It was an excellent experience from our initial inquiry and expeditious estimating process, through to today's move. I recommend Gardiner & Sons without reservation.
I don't know where to begin. Two young men arrived at my elderly neighbors apartment at 9am this morning to move her to an assisted living facility. I was so impressed with their work ethics. They went over and beyond assisting her and never once did they take a break. They treated her like their Grandmother. Three hrs. Later they have left to move her in 1 1/2 hrs. away. I will highly recommend them to all my neighbors.
