Geaux Movers

When I initially called these movers I was told there would be a $98 “deposit” to hold the truck for the day I was moving. I was also told that it was $98 an hour to move anything. The movers did a good job at moving but at the end of the job when they were writing the bill up they added an additional $98 to the bill and said that was a service charge. I explained that the owner told me that it was a deposit to hold the truck. We then called the owner which quickly got an attitude and told me it was a service charge to hold the truck and for fuel. This is not what they tell you for the initial call. The owner tells you that it’s a deposit and at the end they add it back in to the cost of moving. Also, the driver wrote down $50 for fuel before we called the owner but then crossed it out. Please be careful this may be a money making scheme where they have “hidden fees”. They were going to double charge me for fuel. Also they charge to wrap everything up but they don’t tell you that you get charged separately for that as well. Would not recommend as you mover.

Very great company! I would recommend them to anyone looking to have there home moved. They showed up on time and got the job done in a timely fashion. They also spent time wrapping the furniture to ensure that nothing would get damaged. They carried my couch down 4 flights of stairs with not a scratch on it. Thanks again Geaux Movers!

I called Geaux Movers on short notice and they responded the next day with a professional moving crew they were prompt, professional, and very courteous to moving my belongings. We were moving on a short notice and they took great care of all of our furniture making sure to wrap each piece, there was no damages on our move and I was very happy for this. Another great thing about them was they took notice of the time and made sure they planned our move properly taking in count the daylight left. I was very satisfied with the over all move and they even helped unpack some of our boxes when we got to our new home. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this moving company to anyone who is moving soon these guys really know what they are doing and have a professional attitude about their jobs. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism from a labor crew and I couldn't of expected more from them. We worked with John and his crew If you plan on moving and choose Geaux Movers these are the guys to go with they will take great care of your furniture and they do not slack or mess around.
