Very impressed with Gentry. We called them on short notice and they were able to empty our POD the same day it was delivered. They charged exactly what they quoted without an extra travel charge for to and from their business location like a lot of companies we called. We plan to buy a house and will definitely use them when we move.
Very friendly and hard working guys. They got our entire house and storage building moved in one day. They took down and reassembled beds, and moved furniture with contents in the drawers so you don't have to pack it separately. Their truck is really big (around 30 ft) and they know how to pack it full. I would've had to make 3 trips with a uhaul for what they got in one load. I would definitely recommend and would use this moving company again.
The gentleman were on time, professional, gentle with our fragile things. I highly recommend this company for your moving needs. Having someone else do the moving and packing of the truck made for a stress-free day.
Courteous young men. Great job.
At first, I was highly impressed, but only because of the upbeat attitude of the employees that came to move my household and safely did so without breaking anything. Then I found out what the owner of the company was like, and this changed my view of the business all together. I can say that I will definitely never use them again due to the owner's conduct to his employees. I refuse to put money into pockets of a man like that. It is Workplace Bullying at it's finest! I witnessed this personally as well when he chose to yell at one of his employees in front of me as if they were doing something incorrectly (and they weren't as I was present during my entire move). I found out that he also demands out of town trips, no notice, so these poor employees have to way to communicate or make arrangements with their families. He literally tells them near 5pm the day before they are traveling to GA, VA, NC, or SC. Thus why one of the reviews on Google states that the employees were upset during an out of town move. The owner treats them like property instead of people. The owner also does not pay overtime, which I asked about after I witnessed the verbal abuse, and does not provide pay stubs to their employees to be able to prove income either. Seems like an old man who has gotten away with doing whatever he wants - to whomever he employs in this small quaint town. I feel sorry for the employees most of all because they did a great job overall. Addition after the business' reply: Contrary to the business' personal belief in their reply, I was a real customer. To GENTRY,..... thanks for the hostile reply to prove my point. I'm logged into this review with a business account. I'd prefer to stay secret as I have a right to privacy and freedom of speech as well. When I (a customer) had to watch you yell at your employees in front of me, it was poor conduct and business management. I would never, nor have I ever, worked for you. Pretty sure the transaction occurred once and went from my account to yours, not the other way around.
