This is the worst company. DO NOT USE THEM. They estimated my move at $1500, when everything was loaded onto the truck they told me it was $4300. I had no choice to sign otherwise they were going to take all of my stuff off the truck. I had a one bedroom apartment, minimum things. They lost my dresser mirror, my ottoman, two boxes and my mattress. I was able to recover the mattress but everything else is gone. They stopped answering my calls, they even accused me of lying about my missing items! Terrible service and a terrible company. Do yourself a favor and please, please, pick ANYONE ELSE. Now I’m stuck with a $4300 bill. I still haven’t received my items. When I went to claim my missing items for payment that were worth almost 2k, they only offered me $40. Again, terrible company.

Truly, not all movers are created equal. Although we were moving from our house of 31 years in Broomfield to Littleton, we hired Golden Van Lines out of Longmont due to a great word of mouth recommendation. We had also used Golden to move my elderly mom from Palm Springs to Denver a number of years ago. Several months earlier my sister had moved to our same area but her mover did not schedule a large enough crew and her move took 3 days! In contrast, Kevin with Golden came and gave us our estimate and then scheduled a professional and cheerful crew who packed away our house and master bedroom in the morning, moved everything, and then set up our bed at our new place that afternoon. One night we slept in our old house and the very next night we were able to sleep in our new house. The four person crew was helpful and efficient and arrived early in the morning to get started. We had packed everything ourselves (with boxes and tape from Kevin) and had filled our shed and garage with boxes along with all of our furniture in the house. I cannot believe we had so much stuff!! Our move could not have gone smoother. Not a thing was damaged or broken and the crew was done moving everything into our new place by 4:30 that afternoon. I believe this was due not only to the experienced crew but also to the professional experience of our estimator Kevin. Moving can certainly cause a lot of stress and anxiety but hiring a professional mover like Golden Van Lines helped to lower our stress level when we saw how they handled the move for us. I would suggest contacting them and asking Kevin to come out and give you an estimate even if you live in the Denver metro area. Their customer service was the best!
