We just moved from the Austin area to Harlingen. We needed some movers, there was no way we were moving a piano etc at our age. I looked on line for movers and most places wanted to do an itemized inventory. Every single box, shovel, chair, etc..... Your kidding me right? So when I contacted Gulf Moving System on line I got a call and text back within the day. I let him know the major pieces and how many rooms basically. He had a quote for me within a day or two. We scheduled a tennitive date based on my closing date. Being that we we're moving 5 hours away with 2 closing dates and having to be out of one house before we could get into the next house I asked if they could keep my stuff an extra day and they were gracious enough to oblige. I packed all my stuff up and had stuff at the house and a storage unit to load up. They came at 9:30am and loaded the house. Each item was carefully blanketed and packed. The men were very professional and careful. Even though we had double plastic wrapped the box springs and mattresses they had boxes they put them in also. After loading the house we drove to the storage unit and loaded that up too. By 3:30pm they were on the road. Two days later the men came and unloaded and reassembled. Got it done in 3 to 4 hours. They wore uniforms and were very professional, attentive, kind and did an awesome job. They told us when we got unpacked they would come pick up the boxes too. A week later we had a pickup full of broke down boxes and packing materials. Sure enough I let Eddie know we were ready and a couple hours later they picked it all up. PS after unpacking everything one t-cup was the only thing damaged. My bad packing, not even their fault. I would recommend this company to family and friends Eddie and the men were all great!

Awesome service

I don't normally write reviews because I find them time-consuming;however, these guys bailed me out of a jam and I owe it to them to sing their praises. I had a bad moving company that loaded 20ft of a truck and broke my belongings multiple times. I no longer trusted them and after one guy quit on the job, the last remaining man unloaded the 20ft of the truck back into my driveway. I called up Bekins hysterical and asked for their help after I passed on them originally due to a difference in price. Eddie showed up within an hour and told me he would get guys over in a few hours. About 2 hours later, 7 men showed up dressed nicely in uniform and they delicately wrapped and packed my belongings in the truck. I was prepared to pay for two 26' trucks because I had so much stuff, but the guys packed so well that there was only a bit of my stuff that still needed packed. We opted to rent a u-haul and take the rest of it hitched to our SUV. They were happy to keep the other truck in San Benito and did not give me a hard time switching from 2 trucks to 1 truck. The men could not get my belongings to Austin the same day due to the late start, but they asked what time I wanted them to leave. I told them 6-6:30 am and they did not complain about the early departure, AND they left on time and got to Austin by my requested time! Because of the last minute juggle to get me to Austin with the other moves Bekins had scheduled that weekend, 2 men were sent to unload my belongings which was really a 3 man job. They went above and beyond-sometimes moving furniture twice up and down stairs because I couldn't figure out where things fit best. They put furniture together and were gentle with everything. I thoroughly recommend Bekins! They were hands down an AMAZING moving experience. Thanks Bekins. You saved my sanity that day!
