Review:

I’m very glad that I used Hansons for my move. Right from the beginning of scheduling the move all the way down to meeting the movers and going to two different locations, Cory and Miguel both did an excellent job, not only with the handling of my personal belongings but they did it with efficiency and a consistent speed that got the job done in four hours. Thank you guys!! I can’t express enough how satisfied I am with their work and how well they moved me into my new home. A big thank you to Darcy who set the move up for me and a very big thank you to Hansen’s Moving and Storage. I highly recommend using this company for any move and I will definitely be using them in the future.

No integrity, dishonest. If there were an option, I would not have given even one star. Our cross country move with Hansen's was a nightmare; mistakes and deceit, overcharge of $2200 that we had to fight tooth and nail to have refunded, dishonest reporting of condition of our items on the inventory sheets, this describes just some of the ways in which Hansen's Moving is far from reputable. They contract with Atlas, they're happy to have you sign a contract, yet take no responsibility for what transpires through the process. Don't hire them thinking they are your Agent and will "represent" you. Once your load leaves Bakersfield and they've been paid their commission, they take no responsibility. We spent over two months making multiple calls, initially to Hansen's, then gave up and took the matter straight to Atlas. We were entitled to a refund of money that was erroneously charged at the time our furniture was delivered. Actually, "erroneously charged" is a polite way of saying the money that was "stolen" at the time our furniture was delivered, when the Atlas driver stood in our new home and held our belongings hostage, telling us he had to have a credit card and collect "x" amount of money before he would off-load our furniture, but did not have a weight slip or inventory slip to provide detailed account of the expense. The Atlas driver was extremely dishonest and told us the detailed report would come from Atlas, it did not. After preparing 2 weeks for a move, 24 hours on the road across 3 states and one week to get settled, we were too exhausted to question or contest. Subsequent research (completed by me, not Hansen's) unveiled that the driver misrepresented the weight of our load, which Hansen's supported, resulting in the overcharge of $2,200.00. Hansen's was aware of the chain of mistakes and dishonesty, they had the paper records; but instead of stepping up to the plate and making corrections, they drug the situation on and on. I'm certain it was with the hope that we would give up. At one point Atlas offered us a settlement of $1,000. less than half the amount actually owed us, labeling it as a "customer service" gesture. To add insult, I am now reviewing inventory sheets completed by the Hansen mover/packer at the time our load in California was picked up and discover he was downright dishonest about the condition of our items at time of pick up. He marked every item of furniture as scratched, broken, rusted, worn, etc. Items that were in brand-new condition (i have pictures as of this date) were noted as being practically dilapidated, to set the stage for not being able to make a claim on the receiving end. However, the mover from Hansen's did not review this information with us, just had us sign the inventory sheets. Obviously this was all in an effort to "set the stage" for not being able to make claims on the receiving end, another example of dishonest practice by Hansen's. It's a shame that an established , local Bakersfield business would conduct themselves in such an unprofessional and dishonest manner. Dan Hansen forged our names on a letter he sent to Atlas. Jim Smith , the Estimator who we signed a contract with, presented himself as a genuine, caring professional but turned out to be dishonest and full of excuses, unwilling to help the client whose business he procured. The mover who packed our shipment was obviously coached to be dishonest about the condition of our inventory. The only person that was helpful to us was Darcy, who works in the office, thankful at least for the help she provided. If I knew of a way to report Hansen's for bad business practice I would do so without hesitation. Beware! Steer clear of Hansen's Moving and Storage in Bakersfield.

They were on time, very polite and handled our items with care. They also setup all of our furniture and rearranged it several times till it looked how we wanted it to. They were also very timely and made sure to not damage our home or furniture in the process.
