Horrible company lost part of furniture one excuse after another this was an elderly adult they took advantage of and it’s unacceptable. Do not use this company
Carl Freese is a thief. He contacted me to get a quote for unloading an 18 wheeler on Memorial day. The location was very far from where I'm located (1 hour drive, one way) So I told him 2 men $80 an hour, 4 hour minimum ($320 total) I still have the text with the agreement. It says exactly that. So I placed an ad (paid money) and found another mover closer to the area to help me unload. The mover agreed and I met him there. (by the way, this is exactly what Carl does when he has long distance moves, hence he called and hired me) Since I first arrived to the location, the 'driver/ mover' was in a bad mood, like he hated his job. (probably because it was Memorial day. I was just happy to work) So we started unloading and we (the driver and I) had small talk here and there. He saw my box truck parked outside and asked about it, I told him that it belongs to me and that I work for myself doing smaller local moves, hence you're boss (Carl Freese) hired me. So we were close to finishing and it was getting close to the 4 hour mark. So I said to the driver/ mover, 'you just want the 4 hours right?, because it's almost 4 hours but it looks like were going to make it'. He say 'yeah'. So we were finishing up and I realized I hadn't seen the other mover in like 20 minutes or so. So I asked the driver and the owner of the house (nice lady that tipped me at the end) if they have seen him, they said no. Then suddenly the driver goes 'hey can you assemble a bed?' I said sure. I go inside and start assembling the bed (by the way, the driver is a horrible mover because the room was entirely packed with boxes and furniture so you couldn't even move, let alone assemble anything) I asked the owner of the house again, have you seen the other mover? I need a hand. She says, I haven't seen him'. So I'm finishing and doing the best that I can, by myself, since nobody is around to help. Finally, it's time to collect my money and the driver hands me half! ($160 dollars) I go, what is this? I told him that I need to collect $320 dollars total. He goes, 'I gave $160 to the other mover and I let him go. I said no, you're a thief, a liar, I have an agreement that's on my text with your boss (Carl Freese) saying $80 per hour, 4 hour minimum $320 total. Why would you pay other mover and why in the world would you let him go? What authority do you have to do that? So I'm talking to Carl on the phone and I explain to him the situation and he starts telling me about how the other mover deserves more money and asks me how much am I paying him and stuff. I'm like, what are you even talking about you low life? He sounded like those awful used car salespeople that are always trying to screw you. He sounded like a straight up communist, a cuck, a coward. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. What I pay someone else is completely irrelevant. The deal was between you and I. (I was paying the other mover $15 an hour, 4 hour minimum and half the tips by the way. more that fair) The agreement was 2 men, $80hr 4 hour minimum and Carl hired me, (J.V.) so anything else is completely irrelevant and his driver/ mover made the mistake first. That's all that matters. I was tired by that point, sweating and I just wanted to go home, eat and rest. The owner of the house (nice lady) did agree with me, because I showed her the text. She even tipped me at the very end. Perhaps, Carl needed the $100 dollars that he ripped me off more than I did. And no, this is not over.
Very rude phone Lady. Carl seemed very genuine when coming to do quote but Patty or whoever it is answering phones is just extremely rude. I had to cancel because everytime i called she filled me with her attitude. Makes this company seem bad since she is the first person we talk to. It is sad because owner seems very genuine. She just didnt seem to want to listen to what I had to say every single time
Great people...really helpful
I had an exceptionally great experience with Hollister Moving and Storage. Due to my busy schedule, they handled all of my moving and storage needs. From loading up my ranch house and unloading to my storage facility...and then, about a month later, loading up from my storage locker and into my new home. All without me having to be on site to manage it all. The team is as professional as it gets, and always had a smile on their face and a willingness to please! (Even when I changed my mind a few times about where I wanted certain pieces to go in the new house!) "No problem! That's what we're here for!" they replied many times. Thanks so much HM&S! ; )
