Terrible experience!! Hidden fees i was told they would waive the additional fee to go up 2 flights of stairs then after they have my stuff and charged me more they say that the can not waive the fee and there is an additional shuttle fee to complete the delivery. And of course the person who i spoke to is unavaible. STAY AWAY!
I went through Impress Moving for a cross country move. It was a terrible experience. Our boxes and furniture were delivered over 10 days later than the guaranteed delivery by date. The communication was weak on their part, the boxes were wet when they were delivered, and we lost a few things. They put stickers on all of our things during pick up, but when being dropped off there were boxes that weren’t ours that had the same stickers. So we had to open up a bunch of boxes of other peoples to make sure they weren’t ours. Don’t use impress moving, it’s not worth the money.
From day one when I was originally quoted, the guy was in my house less than 5 minutes, rushing through my questions. Day of the move ended up paying more money because of the questions that weren’t answered correctly but I own up to that error (lesson learned). My MAJOR issue was when my things arrived at my location after going through everything I realized I’m missing some things. The next couple of weeks were a nightmare, items were never returned. Best advice I can give count your boxes before the leave with your stuff or just choose another carrier. ****Horrible Experience ****
Used them for a complex move and couldn't be happier. This isn't my first time using Impress. My first time was August 2017 moving from Port Washington to Little Neck. This time it was a little more complex. I moved 2 houses in Queens to a single house in Port St. Lucie Florida. The first house was packed by Impress and stored for 2 months in their warehouse. The 2nd house was packed by Impress and moved immediately down to Florida. We were packed on July 22, 2019 and delivery was on July 25, 2019. House number 1 was delivered on Saturday August 10th, 2019. All items were accounted for, and there was no damage to anything. I was really impressed with how they packed the first house. The overdid the paper to protect the items. Impress handled everything from the packing (not a SINGLE box was packed) to the loading and unloading. The most difficult thing that I had to do was sign paperwork and go to the bank and get money. Why did I have Impress pack my items? Because of insurance reasons. My new homeowners policy covers all of my items for replacement if damaged, lost, or stolen during my move. But... The moving company has to pack it. Same for Bakers moving insurance. One thing I would change: Paperwork - there's a survey that I was given before the end of the loading on either house. I think that's something that should be held to the end of the job. Otherwise, I really couldn't have had a better moving experience.
The level of kindness, professionalism, integrity, and transparency Impress Moving showed me was unbelievable. They called me early the morning of the move and told me they could come earlier if I wanted. The movers were great and patient with me. Especially since I had a lot of stuff! Can't go wrong with this company. Highly recommended!
