J.E. Ladd & Son Transfer

Ladd & Son provided excellent service and fair pricing for my move across Durham. They arrived early and completed the move quickly and without any obstacles. I am deducting two stars from my review because our movers did not wear masks. This was honestly surprising to me, given that the nature of their work, which involves manual labor (and thus heavy breathing) and given that maintain 6ft distance was not always possible. Furthermore, I was moving out of an apartment complex, meaning other residents on the hallway were put at risk during my move.

My 4th move with J.E. Ladd & Son. They are the friendliest and most helpful movers. Cannot recommend them enough.

From the initial estimate to the final box in our new home, JE Ladd was professional and efficient. David, Tony, and Trevor were prompt, efficient, and professional on move-in day. Jay was courteous and prompt with the estimating process (during the pandemic!), checked in the night before and after the move to make sure all went well. I've moved a lot over the years, and this was one of my best experiences. I'd recommend them to friends.

We had such a great experience having our move performed by J.E. Ladd and Son. We had 4 movers and all were professional and really attentive to details and ensuring everything was moved and placed with care. They even went the extra mile to ensure our washer and dryer was positioned correctly and in working order before leaving. They went above and beyond my expectations. Ladd and Son moved our office from one side of Durham to the other. They moved the belongings of 8 staff and 10 years of accumulated furniture, boxes and materials. Everyone working on the moving team was friendly, happy to be there and extremely courteous. I highly recommend them and suggest you use them for moves large and small.
