These guys are crooks and I'd give them zero stars if I could. They came to my 1-bedroom apartment, evaluated the amount of stuff that needed to be moved and gave us a price. We paid a deposit. A few days prior to the move, the office called and asked us if we needed any boxes. I said yes. They asked how many. I responded, "I don't know, you guys were here and saw how much stuff we had." She insisted on a number and I said, bring 100 and take back what we don't use. At that point, the woman in the office said they were cancelling the move because "we misrepresented the amount of stuff we needed to move." (Keep in mind they were at the apartment and saw what was there.) A friend, who personally knew movers, said they probably got a BIGGER job, like a 40 bedroom house, and that's why they cancelled us at the last minute. THEY NEVER RETURNED OUR DEPOSIT.
Honesty was key Ken the owner was pleasant & courteous & clearly explained what I needed. His prices were excellent!!! But mostly his moving crew were the BEST guys!!! Ken and movers were friendly. Their big problem is quality. I showed movers 3,deck boxes, patio furniture, and 6 chairs. They left all three deck boxes, 3 chairs and cushions. I complained to Ken and he said I should of checked before they left. I explained that I did but they drove off in truck while I was checking even though I asked them to wait. I guess they didn’t want to get stuck in rush hour traffic. My son discovered that the reclining couch didn’t work and Ken’s answer to that was use your warranty. I used it and the guy discovered that the electrical cord was wrapped around the working sides motor. Which he said would have caused a fire if I kept using working side. Ken pushes to pay cash, which I did inferring that he’ll save you sales tax. I didn’t correct him by letting him know you moving costs are Exempt From sales tax. So he could not charge you either ways. I wish I put it on a card so I could of stopped the payment. Now I am stuck buying $1,000 for new deck boxes. Oh, he also graciously (sarcastic) offered to do another move I would have to pay for boxes.
used kens for the 2nd time and wouldn't use another company ever. great customer service, friendly guys, quick and efficient work once again. highly recommend!
From meeting Ken to having Ricky and the crew do the actual move, was a great experience. I highly recommend them.
