DO NOT USE KOHLER MOVERS!!! He is a disaster, rude attitude , his workers are untrained, carelss and disrespectul. He permanently LOST 4 of my boxes AND my new queen mattress!!!! Also he delivered to me somebody else's boxes!!! A warning.....Best to hire another company!!!!!
I have moved interstate over 8 times in the past 10 years. I've always researched as much as I could and left the rest to God and fate. After calling several Charleston movers to take me from Atlanta to Charleston and store my belongings in an on-site space, Mr. Kohler was the only mover who was straightforward with me. He said "even if you don't move with me, be aware and ask these questions". His guidance helped me weed out the imposters who have no on-site storage (as they claim to) or have no climate-control/air conditioning. Mr. Kohler took a two hour drive from another job to meet with me in Atlanta, give an estimate, and we agreed on a move date. I am hopeful that this will be a 5-star rating once he and his crew move my things quickly, safely and smoothly to his storage space. Stay tuned!
The worst possible choice for a mover. They moved us from Summerville to Seabrook Island. They crew showed up and one member process to throw up on the front lawn and was useless and did nothing. I called the owner about how badly things had gone and how late it was getting. His reply was if I am not happy he will throw our furniture in the road and we can come get it. The got another crew to come and unload at 10:00pm. It was a disaster. Deal with this outfit at your own peril.
They are so friendly and professional..my move was a breeze..its family owned and operated and they make you feel like your family..definitely would use again and again and recomend to anyone..
Kohler Movers moved us back in 2005. Fourteen years, and I still remember how we were treated like yesterday. The fellows who did the moving were very nice, except one. It was a total accident, but our most expensive piece of furniture, a china cabinet was mildly damaged. When I called Mr. Kohler, he told me, “I am the busiest man in the world, and I don’t have time to talk to you.” He and his wife were extremely rude and refused to repair our cabinet or even pay for the $110 piece that needed replaced. Their salesman lied and said that the people who worked for them received health insurance and other benefits - a complete fabrication. I don’t know if Mr. Kohler is alive, but I will never forget how unbelievably rude he was. He did not think he needed to even listen to our problem, which was his responsibility being the owner, so be warned! I know nothing about their storage; I can only speak to the month we tried to get them to do the right thing, and they did not, nor did they ever show us any courtesy. “In a world where you can be anything, be kind,” needs to hang on their wall as a reminder. I hope they have changed, but we never even considered using them again.
