At the end of June, I was camping in the Saranac Lakes area off the beaten path. In a sleepy slumber, I somehow locked my keys in the car and had a sleepless night knowing I needed to find a solution early the next day to leave for home (PA) by 8 am. I woke early and called Madden's Garage and Towing at 5:15 am. Surprisingly, I got a human being. I told him that I wanted to be assisted by 8am and he made his way by 6:40 am. This was prompt service given how early on a Saturday and the fact that I was off the beaten path. He knew the area well so I didn't have to give him detailed directions. Luckily I had reception and he was successful helping get my keys out of my car so we could be on our way. The other garages that popped up all said they wouldn't open until at least 7am.

This past Sunday, we had a flat tire on Rt 86 just north of Saranac Lake. Cars were flying past us as we struggled to change to the donut. Without a call for assistance, Mike Madden showed up and took over the changing process. He finished in minutes. When I went to pay him for helping us, he waved off the cash I was holding out to him. He did not have to stop, he did not have to assist us, and he did not need to refuse the cash he rightly earned and deserved. I have been to the garage in the past and he has always done right by us. Thank you Mike for your help Sunday July 7th, the holiday weekend.

Desperately needed to get my car inspected and the check engine light came on right before. Went to one place and got estimated $600 for repairs. Came to them and ended up being $275 instead. Quick and easy fix. Whenever I interact with the employees, I can just tell they are very genuine people. The only inconvenience for me is that I live 20 minutes away and have to drop my car off for the day rather than make an appointment. But the fact that I choose them rather than someplace in my own town says a lot about them as a whole. Thanks guys!
