The gentlemen that helped me move did a phenomenal job, and I am very grateful for their service and dedication to making my move as smooth as possible. We encountered a few issues from the get go, as the negligent property management staff scheduled elevator maintenance during my move, even though I had reserved the service elevator a month in advance and confirmed my reservation 24 and 12 hours in advance of moving day. This didn't faze the movers. They were incredibly resourceful and immediately relocated their truck to utilize another elevator, which wasn't as convenient but allowed them to load my belongings into the truck. They worked non-stop until everything was transported to my new condo, and then they carefully placed everything according to my desired layout. I'm impressed by the professionalism of Metropolitan Moving & Storage, and I highly recommend them.

I never had to use movers in the past, but this time I needed a mover. I went on Angie’s List and found a few movers. I had a few estimates done and decided to go with Metropolitan Moving and Storage. Danny was very professional and through. His estimate was on point and very reasonable. There were no hidden fees to pay at the end of the move. Mario and Marvin were my movers. They were very efficient and took good care of my things. They did an exceptional job in a timely manner. They even tightened my TV console that was a little wobbly before moving it into my new place. One of my dressers had a chip in the leg which Mario pointed out during the move, so that, I would not think they caused it. Again, very efficient, personable, and caring. So happy now that we've settled in our new home in the Commonwealth. Metropolitan Movers helped us through the entire process of our relocation from Silver Spring MD to Williamsburg VA. The transition included a temp move of some of our fine furnishings to temp storage to make our home in Solver Spring more spacious to improve marketability. From initial estimate to temp storage to final move, Metropolitan was top notch service. Dimitri with a spot on estimate, Cassie coordinated all pricing a moves, Vinicio and Juan led the two moves, and Alberto and Jose were their colleagues. All members of the Metropolitan team were in perfect concert. Emptied our MD house in about five hrs. Filled our VA house n about eight hrs placing things just as I indicated on boxes and legal pad and post it notes for furniture. Great experience all around. I def recommend.

Requested online quote on Thursday after COB, received call from Cassie on Friday morning to go over or confirm the items I wanted moved, she called it "inventory" and told me they needed the info for the estimate even though they charge by the hour and not per item. She made it sound like she would get back to me with the quote on Friday. I emailed on Friday afternoon to follow-up and inquire about COI, she told me her manager would get back to me on Monday with the quote. Monday arrives almost 12 noon but no one reached out, called again to follow-up. These folks clearly base their pricing off of zip code and their perception of one's ability to pay more based on zip code. It became clear to me they were running a scam. Wanting to charge me for a crew of 3 men for a job that could really be handled by one person with a dolly and a hand truck, no stairs, no long distance walking, all elevators. They knew they weren't going to be able to scam me so they never even bothered to provide the quote. I hate scammers like this. If you can't get a quote within 24 hours for a small move, move on and don't waste your time with these clowns.
