Worker are great
We were very happy with the service Mont-Rose provided. This was our first experience with professional movers. Darrin, our coordinator helped us plan everything. We had two separate pickups in CA. Each team was professional and very careful with our belongings and hand packed several items for us. The furniture was then stored in CA until we could find a new house in AZ. The team in AZ was just as professional as the team in CA. They moved everything in, assembled things that needed assembly and did everything we requested. Everything arrived and nothing was broken. We highly recommend Mont-Rose moving.
I would not recommend this company for moving long distances. I hired them to pack and move my family and I. I was 7 months pregnant so this is why I had them do most the work. I understand that things happen, but I paid for insurance. They WILL NOT cover self built computers. If you build your own computer, make sure to take it with you and don't trust them with it. I filed a claim on my $2500 gaming computer. They dropped it on its corner and broke the case and now my computer will not start. They offered me $179 because Walmart had an HP Elite 8100 for that price and I was told it is comparable to my computer which has a water cooling system. They said I couldn't establish value, but they know it was damaged and are still willing to give me $400. They're only giving me $400 because I was upset with the way they were handling it. The case alone, that was broken is $300 to replace. I'm not asking for brand new items. I pulled out everything from the computer, gave them a list of the components current value. This was not good enough. I still cant establish value. Unfortunately, if I go to arbitration with this, it's going to cost me $300!! I put my stuff in the care of others and they just don't care. On top of it all I had to put out more money to purchase more packing supplies the day they were packing because they didn't bring enough stuff and didn't bring enough people for the job. At this point I'm just signing the paperwork to get back what I can on what was damaged. Be careful on anything you get anyone to move for you. UPDATE: 9.2.17 Someone from MontRose/Mayflower was look into my situation and unfortunately I'm even more upset than I was before. It's not Mayflower/customer service representatives fault. She was kind enough to talk to the Sr. Manger of Monte-Rose to see if they could work something out to fix my unhappiness. Nope, they felt lying to Mayflower would be in their best interest. Still coming down to it was a custom computer so they won't accept damages. On top of it all they say I already cashed my claim check, so they can't do anything anyways. This is untrue. I just received an email yesterday from Monte-Rose telling that they just sent out my check the day before....huh....pretty sure that means I haven't cashed it. I would highly recommend that Mayflower drop them from their services. This situation has now pulled me to not use Mayflower on my next move in 2019.
What a disaster! They arrived at my new home to deliver my household goods. The very first item they unloaded from the truck was a piece of furniture that they dropped out of the door onto the street and turned in to splinters. They then proceeded to destroy several other items. They left chips in my new custom finished driveway from the loading ramp. Their workers used the bathroom and left dirty hand prints on the wall over the toilet. They didn't reassemble any of the furniture as is customary. They used a hammer to try to straighten the patio furniture they bent and knocked chipped off the paint in the process. Then they drove away without setting up the beds and left the matresses in the garage hidden behind boxes so we had no place to sleep. When I refused to pay until they agreed to reimburse me for all the furniture that they destroyed they simply threatened to sue and refused to admit any fault. Wow. Never experienced customer service like this before with a half dozen previous relocations in my lifetime. On the other hand, they do seem very well versed in their legal rights and protections under the California Public Utilities Commission. In that sense they are very competent.
Provided the service at the price quoted. Items arrived in good condition with one minor exception. Staff was professional and cared well for our belongings and property.
