Moorish Express Moving

Moorish was great. The guys worked really hard and had a great attitude the whole time. The movers were very pleasant to work with and they took great care with our things. We would definitely use them again.

We called yesterday afternoon for a price quote on delivering two large boxes (holding a patio set). Before giving them any details, they wrote down our phone number and promised to "call right back". It has now been over 24 hours, and still no call back. If you weren't able to do the job, or if you don't want our business, that would have been fine. Not even bothering to call back is not at all okay. You wasted my time. We had another fairly large job to offer later in the summer, but we have since found another solution. Thanks for nothing!

The men on our move were polite, professional, and hard working. I can’t say enough good things about our moving experience. I would definitely use them again.

First we were informed that the movers would arrive between 8am and 9am. At 9am no one was there so I called and it took some time until I was able to speak to someone. The person I spoke to was really nice but didn’t know the details. He said that he would check and call me back. 20 min later the driver called me and said that they were 15 min away. They arrived at 9:45 am and we were ready waiting since 8 am. They started packing up but it was extremely slow, it took them around 3 hours to load the truck. It’s a 1 bedroom apt. I was very surprised it took them that long and we even helped a bit. They seemed very inexperienced. One of them hurt his back, was in pain for the whole day and they did not get a substitute. They did not have the correct tool to disassemble our bed. It took them a long time to figure it out, but the result was not good. Without the tool they decided to partially disassemble it, so it was still big. Therefore the bed now is full of dents and damaged paint. Total lack of preparation. They got to the new place quickly but the unloading was also extremely slow and now they had an elevator to help. They seemed confused and inexperienced about re-assembling the furniture. They asked permission to force the top of the sofa instead of the sofa’s legs to go through the door and we said yes. But later I noticed that they ripped the upholster of one of the legs - the exact part that they said they were protecting! Frustrating. When they finished it was close to 5pm. And we were charged $1327, but we had already payed $100. We tipped them $150 more. They were nice and hard workers but they seemed very inexperienced and were moving very slow. My friends were charged almost the same amount on their 4 bedroom move with this same company. After they left my husband had to finish assembling one TV stand that was missing a shelf, which was quick. But our bed was poorly assembled. There was something wrong. My husband spent 2 hours trying to figure out the mistake that was done. Pieces had been forced and it was lose. He had to do it all over again. Bed of the guest bedroom was also poorly assembled and is squeaaky until today. I complained with my contact later and he said he would call me back and never did. Spent almost $2000 on a small one bedroom (plus an extra bed) and have damaged furniture and poorly assembled pieces. Very frustrating!

Workers were good. Truck was 4 hrs. Late.
