Moving By Design, Friendswood TX

I have over 16 THOUSAND DOLLAR OF DAMAGE to my furniture from a move from this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They had extremely subpar furniture packing skills which leads to massive furniture damage. (1) I trusted Christina at MovingByDesign when she told me they were experienced and I could trust them. I trusted them to pad and pack my townhouse of furniture into a 28 foot trailer. (2) Upon opening the trailer they packed, we noted immediately that the moving team had caused a MASSIVE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE to the furniture in the trailer in the course of packing without securing or padding appropriately. Wood furniture was wrapped in one layer of Saran Wrap (instead of blankets) and left unsecured. Most of my furniture was ruined - scratched, bent, dented, mishandled and mispacked. Among many other examples, there were huge scratches and dents across my dining room table, lamps thrown on top of other furniture, and multiple mirrors broken. (3) I had bought extra blankets, bungee cords, and I offered to buy more blankets from them if they needed them. I told them at the start of the day if they needed anything, to let me know. I bought them lunch halfway through the day, and asked if they needed anything. Nobody ever told me they were so haphazardly putting things into the trailer so that when I opened it, all this damage would be present. Do not use this company. They have dodged my attempts to work with them to file a formal insurance claim. They have not even offered to refund the price of moving. Do not make the same mistake as I did. Find another company, and protect your furniture.

I called just two days before I needed a piano moved and they worked me into their schedule. They were supposed to call me when they were on their way, but I didn't receive a call until they arrived. I had to drive from another destination to meet them. They waited and carefully moved the piano to its new destination. Since there was a two hour minimum anyway, the wait did not cost me any additional money. I would call them again if I have any moving to do.

Job: moving French Antics from Houston port to my home. Moving By Design responded swiftly to my late notice call and sent a 4-men crew to move up those heavy and fragile furniture into my condo. Everything went as per plan. Very professional crew, full of care, friendly and, very important to me, thinking safety first. I fully commend Moving by Design. Thanks for the great work.
