Review:

Knew about my move 3 months ahead, demanded to be paid before delivery and then never called. Driver called day before and only brought a very small part of our household goods eventhough all my HHG had been stored together for months. Still dont have a day for the rest ofour stuff and have taken our HHG hostage. Do not PAY upfront. Contract clearly states pay before driver unloads, not before. They will take your money and then totally botch your move. They never call back.

Review:

I would not recommend this company!!! Ever!! We started out two months before our move. They came out and gave estimate. I had searched other companies and thought this being a local company, I would choose them. I will say the communication process from the beginning was terrible. So, if you do choose this company, do not expect this type of service from them. They said they would call the day before they were to come pack our home, I had to call them twice within the week before, and still no one called me the day before. The packers that did come out, (this is the only saving grace) where professional and polite. That is where it ended!! We ask the packers, when that National Van Line would be out the following day to load our move onto the truck. They were not sure, but gave an estimate around 9:00 a.m. Well, the following morning no one shows up, we called the office (Gerber Moving) and was told they did not understand, that someone should have been there already from National Van Line. They called back stating National Van Line did not have our moved booked, but they would send a truck out from Gerber Moving. Basically, someone forgot to do there job( I have a email confirmation from National Van Line that shows that they had my contract, and they had me down for the move.). Then when they were done with loading everything on a Gerber Moving truck, I asked about when they would arrive at our destination. They could give me 4 to 5 day window, which was fine, then asked that one particular day be avoided. They called the day before, (surprise), asked if they could deliver to our storage unit at 8:00 the following morning, asked if it could 10:00 am, they agreed. This was an out of state move, and we were not there yet, but our son in law was going to meet them at 10:00, which he arrived at 9:45 am. They had still not arrived at the unit at 10:30, so I called the office of Gerber Moving, spoke with Bob. He could not understand where they were. He states he could find out why and call me back. He calls me back with 10 minutes, and states they are 40 minutes out, and would head that way??? Not sure why this happened?? but once again, unreliable!!! Then 40 minutes went by, and still not there. Called Bob again, and they should be in 30 minutes, they finally arrive 2 and half hours late, my son in law was waiting so patiently. After, the second phone call to Bob, was not to nice, simply put, I told him know that this was unacceptable, and it had been from the beginning!!! My husband also called left multiple message for Bob, through multiple people (driver, secretary, and then Bob's voicemail.) My biggest mistake, was to pay this company, before they got there that day at the storage unit!!! I gave Bob the benefit of doubt, and waited 10 days before I wrote this review, never once again heard from him!!! Like Share

Review:

If perfection is unattainable, the experience of working with this company was as close to perfection as it could be! Our representative, Sam Meredith, was very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and responsive whenever we needed him. The movers themselves were as close to perfect as perfect can be. William, our main mover was professional, polite, and took any extra step we requested. He even offered the extra step. During a normally stressful time, Sam and William did everything they could to alleviate any stress, within their power. Side note, we have a very difficult couch. It's big, wide, bulky, and we went from apartment to apartment with thin hallways. Previous movers/delivery guys complained and threatened to not be able to bring it in. William, in a refreshing change of pace from previous movers, said, "We'll get it, don't worry," and sure enough did it with no complaints. The next time we need a moving company, we're going to specifically request Sam as a rep, and William as a mover. 5 out of 5!

Review:

Who wants a customer that asks about the weight ticket? Do you weigh the whole truck with diesel? Okay, he answers they weigh the cab only. I don’t know the weight of my load until the driver delivers with the weight ticket. I asked about pickup and delivery dates. Aaron told me I had to pay $775 to pick a specific pickup date, and pay even more for a specific delivery date. I asked what happens if you don’t deliver on the date I paid extra for, and Aaron says lets focus on the positive. This is my hard earned money! If I pay an extra $1,500 for a specific pickup and delivery date the company should refund me that amount if they are late. He states they refund an amount like the cost of hotel, but he could not remember how much. If Aaron can remember $775 extra needs to be paid to lock in a specific pick up date then he should remember if they refund customers. I asked if he could send me the policy in writing. I asked for a quote in writing. I know doing things over email is binding and they want to avoid it. Good luck if you use this mover!

Just had a wow experience with Monty Gustus and his crew at my facility. They were professional, courteous and were very careful with my tenants belongings. They left the site just as clean as when they arrived. Great service, thank you!!!
