i hired new beginnings for a house to house move two months ago and wow i can't be more thankful for the two men they sent out especially one of the men he was so fast and i kept telling him to slow down all he kept saying is im good im on your time.. you just can't find workers like that any more
Worst abusive and dangerous transaction ever! BEWARE! During 2 years I had stored 3 U-Haul U-Boxes at New Beginnings from my move from Amarillo, Texas. The U-Haul agreement provides access to the U-Boxes when needed with 24 hour advance notice. In 2 years I had accessed the boxes 3 times, once without having to move them at all. On early June I called New Beginnings , about 3 days in advance, to remove two U-Boxes and asking to be able to see all 3 boxes to find out which ones to retrieve. The New Beginings owner was rude and behave like a bully, ordering me to shut up and listen him and then he would allow me to talk. During his tirade he informed me that the agreement with U-Haul was not in effect, that it was his rules, and that when he pulled out the boxes I would have to take them all the same day or he would leave them exposed to the elements outside. He hung up on me I was stating how unreasonable and rude his attitude was. I had to call U-Haul and they referred me to their Area Supervisor. He told me he called New Beginnings and that had set things right. The New Beggining owner called me afterwards, with the same abusive tone and warned me he would hang up again if I interrupted his speech. He told me he would call me the next day, no earlier than in the afternoon, to get the boxes. Next morning, his assistance called to tell me the boxes where ready for inspection. I went there, inspected the boxes and asked for two of them to be loaded in a trailer. The New Beginnings owner was exemplary rude, calling me dumb for questioning his refusal to load a trailer with my SUV and forcing me to rent a 17' truck. I had moved the U-Boxes in Amarillo with the same SUV, it had a towing capacity higher that the load, but he forced me to take the truck under threat of not loading the trailer. I agreed and as he was loading, he continued to belittle me with childish comments and bait me by repeating his threat to leave the third box exposed outside if I didn't take it that day. When I questioned his attitude and told him that my agreement was with U-Haul not him, he exploded in a rage. He ordered me to shut up or he would beat me up, called me a host of curse names, and under the threat of violence forbade me to set foot on his building. Again I called the U-Haul Supervisor who kindly helped me to drive my SUV to a nearby Home Depot parking lot as the New beginings owner refused to let me leave it parked in his lot while I rented the truck, and drove me back to the New Beginnings lot to pick up the truck and U-Boxes, while providing a respite to the abuse. I placed a complain with U-Haul and got credit for the truck fee. Small consolation for such an ordeal. The New Beginnings owner behaviour was way outside the normal range for business people and I urge anyone contemplating dealings with them to take my experience in the balance, shall you decide to use their services. Caveat Emptor! Buyer Beware!
Everything went well till they charged my card $5 for cleaning, really? I used the truck for a few hours to move a few boxes, no trash or debris. It's not the $5 it's the principle that they felt they had to get something out of my minimal rental charge. Not good business, make sure you bring the truck back to them and have them inspect it while your present, or they'll charge your card.
