NJ State Moving Inc

This are the worst movers I have ever used. I moved from Carteret NJ to Elizabeth NJ (15 minutes drive time) on November 29,2018. The movers arrived late and ill equipped for the job. They promised a three man team and sent two instead. I became the third person on the team as I helped them move boxes and stuff to the truck. The supervisor promised to fix the issue but never did. To make the story short the move took almost fifteen hours to complete because not everything fit in the truck on the first trip and then the supervisor demanded a certified check at 1:00 AM the following day(move was competed at 2:30 AM) before dropping my belongings off on the second trip or he will order them to take my belongings to their lot.. The supervisor was aggressive on the phone when I asked the employee to allow me to speak to him. I ended up calling the Elizabeth PD who showed up and questioned another moving company supervisor who showed up just to make me fill a credit card authorization for in order to collect my payment. Their initial estimate for my two bedroom apartment move was $700.00 but I ended up paying over 1,500.00. By the way we slept with our mattresses on the floor for two nights because by the time they finish my daughter and wife were already sleeping. Friends came to help us set everything up.The supervisor I spoke with on the phone was not customer friendly at all. He just wanted his money. Some of our furniture was damaged as well.

Terrible moving company. I booked my move with them because they gave me the best price. I told them exactly what I had to move in detail. They told me they would send 3 movers and it would take 2 hours. I did not have that much to move. I was told they would arrive at 9:15. They called to confirm and then told me between 9 and 10. The did not show up until 10:30. They only sent 2 movers. It took them 5 hours to move. The distance between the twin homes is 10 minutes and it took them a half hour, I was charged for that time. They told me they would be done at 3:30 they finished at 3 and they charged me for that extra time. I was over charged by 50 minutes. My furniture was also damaged and missing peices. On my original call I told them I had a treadmill to move but when they got to my home they tried to charge me more for it and then they ended up not moving it claiming they couldn’t get it out of the house. I called customer service about the issues and they guy was very rude and hung up on me twice and refused to do anything to resolve the situation. Absolutely terrible moving company. I would suggest going with a different one. They bait you in with a crazy low estimate and then it’s ends up being way more. I was told the price would be $357 and I ended up paying $620. They even tried to charge me over $700 but I had to explain to the mover that the man that gave me the quote had provided a seasonal discount on my quote and the mover tried to deny that. They also contact you through a company called Real Van Lines. I’m not sure why they do this. Please do not book with this company.

I was hoping to get it done in 2 days but guys were superb, they were a little bit late but we had all day long for move so we had all day for our job to do. I think it was good to get this guys to move us. Maybe next time we will help them but it was good enough for now. Hope we can get it .

Ok we had good experience in moving. So actually we did in perfect way. I had to get everything together so we had it done quickly. Many thanks to guys without their help we would never did it so fast. I might admit it was good decision to take them. Thanks

Thanks to this guys. We did it. Aybek (foreman) did perfect job. Thanks we got all staff to be done before our dead line. My staff was so many time wrapped that we decided to get it done quickly. I knew staff will be in storage for some time so did cover super good. I wanted all staff we got was superb packed and covered. Finally we got our staff done quick.'Thanks
