We have moved more than 13 times since 1998, locally, interstate and cross country. Parks butchered/botched the pack and load worse than any other company with whom we have done business. Items were moved (now missing) which they were told not to move, computer monitor was literally thrown into a box and other items were piled onto it (now destroyed), missing parts, pieces of furniture, a nasty, vile, uncooperative driver was sent to move us and blamed us not having our stuff packed. Packers were sent out who told us the driver would finish packing, etc., etc. 2 more crews had to be sent out to finish the pack and load. The usual amount of furnishing were damaged. Boxes never show up. The delivery van crew would not/could not assemble our desks, etc,, so a 3rd party had to be sent out. Hands down the worst moving experience we ever had . . .anywhere.

HORRIBLE. This company is the basis of a parody (cue #the Unmovers) and would be hilarious if it didn't involve actual damage to your personal/hard earned property. I have contacted BBB & filed a complaint in addition to notifying our previous & new neighborhoods' respective Associations, employers/human resources' dept., social media, friends & families (who, in turn, will post to their own networks)--to share exactly the Low level of quality, disrespect for clients' properties and negligence, in their care of relocating, that Parks Moving Company (Harrisburg/S. Central, PA) practices. HORRIBLE Moving company. You do Not want them involved in any aspect of one of the most, already, frustrating events of your life. 1) They packed a bag of ONIONS in a box also holding board games, puzzles, toys which they then proceeded to store in our new home's basement. We unpacked these boxes Last (at least 3 weeks after being packed since they were in boxes considered lower on the priority list. Who packs Perishables like that??) You can only imagine what that bag of indescribable macerated putrid mess looked like. 2) No furniture cushions, bed/mattress covers/pillows etc. were safe from their grubby hands nor properly packaged. They leaned or threw soft cover/fabric encased items on the ground or dirty floors as they unpacked. Forget about what type of storage practices they had for these items in transit from point of origin to destination; you'll win your dry cleaners and carpet/furniture cleaning/repairman's Best Customer award. 3) Insignificant "reimbursement" for severely damaged furniture and household items but only AFTER they and send/contract (for and to their bottom line's) equally inept, dishonest and half blind "auditor" or "inspector" to review the damaged items. THIS PERSON WILL BE BIASED. They will expect you and your family to sit/sleep on dirty surfaces without having cleaned them if you are submitting claim for damages so that these items can be put on hold pending "inspection" AND more time to set up repair AND wait for the $5 reimbursement for damages that will cost you $50 once you actually have them repaired. 4) Several items are still missing despite having unpacked boxes; items that should haven been Grouped together because they were packed in the same room with designated destinations, will end up in some black hole somewhere. 5) Absolute disrespect for other people's personal belongings for which PARKS assumes transient responsibility notwithstanding that, YOU, the client pays for additional insurance. 6) 4 "professional movers" taking cell. phone breaks while 1-2 others are sweating it out to complete the remainder of the job. 7) Watch what happens should 4/5p.m. (aka quittin' time) rolls around and the trucks are still arriving. Your valuable possessions (the ones you worked hard to earn/save to purchase) will be subject to a game of rock-paper-scissors as to whose responsibility it is to stay & participate in completing the move since there's another truck or two with Your items still left to be unloaded. Very entertaining (not). Have your camera handy, if you've the time, during one of the most stressful experiences in life. At least you'll be able to laugh(?) at how inept "professionals" have become and gauge what society now accepts as "quality." PARKS MOVING (Harrisburg/ S. Central, PA) should be run out of business. They are a disgrace to true & honest Relocation experts who truly work For you and earn more business. I wish I had more time to peck out what PARKS did for us. Alas, I have already spent too much precious time on such a despicable company. You SUCK, PARKS MOVING COMPANY.

First class robbers, avoid at all costs. after the theft and a police report all we got from Parks was there is nothing we can do and the guy was fired. no repayment of stolen goods totaling $800.00. Everytime I see the folder from this company with all the paperwork I get boiling mad.

Worst moving experience ever. We moved from PA to TX and had a horrible experience. Our belongings were picked up on 7/27/15 and were supposed to be delivered between 8/1 and 8/9. They were not delivered until 8/20, 11 days late. We could not get a delivery date from them for weeks. We were told that our belongings were being stored in a warehouse all this time but that was apparently not true. The truck driver who delivered to us in TX said that he was told our belongings were still in a truck, he said he wouldn't do a "box to box" switch and then the day before he picked up our belongings, they were apparently hurriedly moved into a warehouse for him to pick up. Dozens of our boxes were crushed, many of our belongings were broken, two of our bookcases were destroyed, and several pieces of furniture were never wrapped for protection, resulting in damage. We have moved six times in the 30+ years we've owned homes and this is by far the worst treatment we have ever received from a mover. Avoid this mover at all costs.
