Efficient, friendly, and down-to-business. Would definitely recommend.
A great big thank goes to Sheridan Brothers. They recently moved my mother from a house into a condo. They moved not only the household furnishings but also a full wood working shop that was in the basement. All of men who worked on these two moves were extremely careful while moving items up stairs and around tight corners. The condo had been freshly painted a week before the move and not a single wall was damaged. I would, in a heart beat, recommend Sheridan Brothers Moving to anyone needing to move.
The best service. Had me moved out and into my new place in just 3 hours with a 21 mile drive to boot. Price was right and the guys were very professional.
I’ve used this company a number of times over the years. The last two experiences were so bad that I will never use them again. I used them to move a bunch of stuff 6 months ago and the crew they sent constantly complained about the fact that they were having to move things. Also they very loudly were making fun of my home and belongings. They damaged a scooter I had, then didn’t tell me. I chalked that up to just an irregular experience and hired the company again last week, making sure to ask for a different crew. The crew was friendly and efficient and only broke the arm of one chair. The problem came when I went to pay. I was quoted $360, both over the phone, and then later, in an email. I ended up being charged $405, more than what was quoted. I called to ask why. I was super confused because I paid for the minimum of 3 hours, but only used 1 1/2 hours, so knew I obviously didn’t go over the time. When I asked why I was charged more than I was quoted, the answer was, “Well, it looks like we quoted you the wrong price.” I said, “yeah, but you said $360, two different times. Both when I initially called. And then again in my confirmation email.” And she said, “Well, we quoted you the wrong price.” And basically hung up on me. Maybe I’m crazy, but isn’t a company supposed to honor what’s quoted? Isn’t that the whole point of a quote? So that companies can’t just make up a price out of nowhere and charge you whatever they feel like at the time? I’m never going to use this company again. Maybe it’s being run by different people now, because as I said, I’ve used them often in the past. After my last two experiences, I will warn others and be hiring someone else for all my future needs.
They did our move and were very customer oriented. They were able to get our'stuff' out of our sold house and delivered it to the proper rooms at our new house. They are experienced and worked very efficiently making the move easy on us. Couldn't ask for a better moving company!
