Shleppers Moving & Storage, Yonkers NY

My experience was excellent. The crew that came and moved me were extremely professional. They packed and moved my 4 bedroom apartment to a house in less then 6 hours. They showed up early and were ready to work and I appreciated that because there was alot to do. The foreman Angel was great and had his team working on all cylinders. I highly recommend using Shleppers.

One box was packed by them so poorly. 4 items were broken all in that box. They offered 100.00 which they thought was fair. All items involved glass. 2 items were vintage. Replacing them requires searching extensively. They only value the glass. There is far more concerned than glass. They refuse to take any responsibility for the packer of that box although we have clear indications of who did it. Based on this and their attitude I would not recommend them unless one wants to pack all their own boxes. I did pack a number of them and nothing was broken in boxes I packed.

One of their driver hit my car in Manhattan and he left scene before the cops come!!!! Everything has been recorded. Good luck with law suit!!!

I have moved several times and Shleppers is by far the worst movers I have ever used. They managed to cause more damage than the cost of the move itself! Their sales team “forgets” to list all your property in the estimate so your quote appears to be competitive, their customer service sucks, and their follow up is even worse After the move was completed, I thought it was strange that the movers were diligent to collect all the blankets they used to pack my furniture except one - A cabinet they place deep in a corner so it would be one of the last things we saw. Sure enough, when I got to it, it made sense - THE BLANKET WAS LEFT TO COVER THE HOLE THEY PUT IN THE CABINET DOOR. Then, as I unpacked my boxes, I started to realize the most damaged boxes were strategically placed at the bottom of the stacks of boxes, with the damage facing the wall. In addition to destroying a cabinet door, they broke several serving dishes, cups glasses. That wasn't the worst part - They managed to drop a box with a Bose Subwoofer thus rendering the $1300 stereo system useless. The amp and power for the entire system is built into the subwoofer! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND USE FLAT RATE MOVERS. I’ve used them multiple times and have never had a issue. Shame on me for choosing the lowest quote. It ended up costing me 3x's the amount To the person responding on behalf of Shleppers: Your apology is worth less than the $.60 per pound insurance. As I told your Customer Relations Manager, Amy Snow, keep it and buy something from the dollar menu at McDonalds.

I called these Yonkers Movers to help me with my move this past week and these guys didn't disappoint. The morning of the move the guys showed up with all the packing boxes and supplies and got to work. My town home in NYC is a tri-level home, so this was very impressive. They wrap all my belongings with the big mover pads, I had a few antique pieces of furniture that they gave extra care to by making crates to protect them. They disassembled my beds and really went above my expectations. I've already recommended Shleppers to many of clients.
