Smith Day Line was prompt and the drivers were courteous. We had a local move, less than 25 miles. However, they damaged a lot of my furniture. They broke my mirrored dresser, completely destroyed an antique side table, ruined a custom nightstand, banged up my footboard to our bed and put a hole in the back of my loveseat. When I explained the damage to the driver he acted like it wasn’t a big deal, and said to call the office on Monday. They paid a whopping $204.00 for all of this damage. I paid more than that to the drivers in tips and lunch for 2 days. I’ve called the claims department, my sales representative, and asked to speak to the owner of the company. I’ve gotten nowhere and today I received my claim payment in the amount of 204.00. The total for my move was over 4000.00$. It was explained to me that the insurance coverage I chose was at .60 per pound. The average consumer really doesn’t even know what that means. I wish I would have known, I certainly would not have chosen this option. They have caused me a great inconvenience and the cost to replace these items (or have them repaired) will be very expensive. Very disappointed In the way they handled the damage they made to my furniture
My move was perfectly smooth thanks to Smith Dray Movers. Their movers Willie and Chris were on time, speedy yet careful with all of my belongings. They had me laughing the whole time they were loading and unloading and still got the whole process done in half the estimated time! Also Adrienne manning the phones and Rhonda that came to survey my belongings and give me the estimate were always smiling, very helpful and thorough. I'm completely happy and satisfied with the whole experience and highly recommend Smith Dray Movers. I know I'll be using them again in the future!
The moving guys were prompt, courteous, and patient. We have 3 king size mattresses and accidentally sent one to the wrong room. They moved to the correct room without complaining. They willingly shifted furniture over a little bit after beds were assembled so that room furniture was assembled as we wanted it when they left.
