Spark Moving Company

I called them and sent an email, no one ever reached out to me. I used them before, 2 years ago, and they were great. I was trying to give them some repeat business.

If I could give this company a negative star I definitely would. They said they would be there to pick up my dads belongings the Thursday before Mothers Day. They didn't even show up until Mothers Day. Then after they finally got there, they charged an extra $600 saying that there was more than what was listed in the quote. My dad reluctantly paid them the extra fees. Here it is almost 3 months later and my dads stuff still hasn't shown up. Every few days they have a new excuse or time frame. I've heard "It'll be there Tuesday" so many times it isn't even funny. In the meantime my dad has had to go without basically everything due to these people. The same woman answers the phone every time and she acts she doesn't speak English very well. And she may not for all I know, what info know is that my dads last name is not that hard to spell and she kept repeating it back to me wrong. When she finally pulls it up she tries to tell me she was going to contact my manager and then call me back. I've fallen for that line twice and never got a call back, now instead I say okay and then call her back in 10 minutes. This has been nothing but a massive headache and this is the most unprofessional business I've ever dealt with. Stay away from this company. Pay more money to work with a reputable one. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy.

I don't understand these positive reviews. I hope this review saves someone the miserable experience that I had with this horrible, scamming company. Honestly, I think I would have been better off mailing every item I owned through the USPS postal system than going with Spark/A1 movers. Now, that's not to be confused with A-1 movers, a legit moving company that has an A+ rating with the BBB. I was fooled into thinking A1 movers were them. Spark movers showed up to my home in a truck too small to take all of my belongings, so I had to leave things behind. Thus costing me money to have to replace. Also, they charged me $2000 more from the original estimate claiming the computer didn't correctly account for all the cubic footage of my belongings even after I listed everything I was taking. They took hours packing my things, and even wanted some cash on the side to pay the other movers. It took over a month from the day the packed me up to the day my things arrived in the drop-off location. Communication with them was a nightmare in and of itself. When my things finally arrive, they wouldn't open the truck until I paid the remainder in cash. Once they started to unload my belongings, I noticed that boxes were damaged and some missing. Items were missing, furniture was broken or damaged. They charged me damn near $6000 to not be able to do their jobs which was to deliver my belongings from one place to another and in the condition that they were in when I packed them up. When I tried to file a claim, they didn't want to pay me even a fraction of what my items cost. They only wanted to give me $61 dollars, when in reality, they owe me over $3000 for all the damaged and missing items I've had to replace. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOU. Not if you don't want to be in the situation I was in. Everything about my move went smoothly except my business with this inept con-artist company. They put colored stickers on my things, so why didn't they all arrive? I even ended up with other people's belongings and no way to get these people their things. I called the company to report it, but you know, they didn't care. Said they'd swing by to pick up the items and never did. This is the level of "professionalism" you'll get with Spark Moving Company. If you are booked with them, please, save yourself the trouble and find another mover before it's too late. Sticking with them has been my only regret. They damaged priceless items like a glass and wood cabinet I was keeping that used to be my mother's favorite. It's gone now, thanks to them.

I am so thankful to Spark Moving Company movers for having ensured that my recent relocation from IL to OH was efficient. They came at the time I needed them most. I was in need of a competent, timely and dedicated group of individuals to help me get the work done. They did not fail me because that is exactly what was sent. I was so impressed with their work that I found myself giving out a tip; something I had never done before.

I have only good things to say about Spark Moving Company. They were very efficient at packing and loading. Even when they could be celebrating, they didn’t complain once. They were done pretty quickly and took off. Luckily, my valuables arrived in good condition. These guys are amazing. I would definitely use them again.
