These people moved me from a 2 bedroom apt to a 3 bedroom house. They took all day and were only about half finished. They left me to go move another customer. They said they would come back the next day. They came back and finished moving me, but they spent a lot of the time taking my furniture apart and couldn’t find the screws etc to put furniture back together. Total move time was about 15 hours, a lot more time than they quoted me They didn’t cover my wood furniture with pads and they damaged and broke a lot of pieces. They did more damage to my furniture than I’ve ever had in all the moves I’ve done put together, and I’ve done a lot of moves.
We had a 4 man crew. They were FAST and very efficient. Hard working and knocked everything out swiftly. Reasonably priced and worth the it because these guys did not play around. Highly recommend. They took great care of all our items.
This was my first and last experience with Woodlands Moving and Storage. I called to have The Woodlands Moving and Storage unload a uHaul, as I was moving to The Woodlands/Spring area from out of state. The head gentlemen (Ed), was very rude and unprofessional. Continuously telling me ('no offense') how small of a job this was for them and how they usually move mansions. He made me feel like the job (of moving my items) was beneath him and not worth their time. The very first item they unloaded dented/scratched my front door. I informed Ed, and he seemed annoyed. I had to remind him again to note the damage on the paperwork before I signed. While unloading the UHaul, I informed Ed the fragile boxes were loaded on top and the heavier boxes were on the bottom. The boxes were clearly marked with arrows, indicating which way the boxes should face. As the boxes were moved upstairs, the fragile boxes were upside down on the bottom of the dolly and the heavier boxes on top of these, also upside down. Due to this, fragile items were broken and sentimental items were damaged. I had also requested 2 bed frames be assembled and was originally told at the time of scheduling, this would be no problem. The crew did not have any tools and left the place a mess with pieces of the bed and dresser scattered around the room. They offered to just lay the mattress on the frame (not assembled), to which I declined. Was repeatedly assured by Ed that they would come back with tools the following day to assemble the furniture. Never received a call and they never showed. Went to Target and purchased a tool kit to assemble the furniture myself. Overall, very dissatisfied with the level of professionalism of the head member of the crew (the other crew members were quite polite), the quality of the work provided, and the lack of follow up to unfinished items.
I would put a 0 star on this review if there is an option. Since we are residing oversea, I had a friend help supervise the whole moving process and sign the contract etc during the moving day. However, before the move, we phoned the company and reserve the time and discussed the details of the contents. We had a hot tub to move from our garage to the first floor storage unit. The office was aware of this and assure us that they will bring a trailer to load the hot tub. On the moving day, they arrived without the trailer and thus can only move 3/4 of our contents to the storage unit and was at the storage earlier before the office opened. They had to wait for half an hour before the storage opened and also had to do the second trip to go back to get the trailer and then to move the rest of the stuff from the house to the storage. All these minutes were charged to my payment. When the guys finished the job at the storage site, he called me to ask for the payment. He charged me 4.5 hours for their clock time and I had to argue for the time they wasted. At the end the guy agreed to lower the time to 3.5 hours. So I gave him the credit card information. However, they charged 4.5 hours on my credit card despite the agreement of 3.5 hours. After we called the office to clarify the charge, the office did not do anything. We dispute the charge of 1 hour through the credit card company. Unfortunately, the credit card company only looked at the contract listing of 4.5 hours and not the explanation of the verbal agreement. I did not sign the contract but my friend probably did. With the situation like this, we called the office again and had very bad experience with their attitude and unwilling to solve the problem. I was on the phone with the manager and my conclusion is "I will never use Woodlands Moving and Storage" again in my life. The workers were not honest (over charged the amount after getting our credit card information), not professional (showed up earlier than agreed upon time, and show up without the right equipment), not accountable for their fault (would not take the responsibility of making above mistakes), and the awful customer service (the conversation on the phone with the manager was horrible). I have learned a lesson from this company and hope no one should have to deal with this company like me.
What a great co. We moved yesterday and the guys were amazing! Thank you again for an amazing experience!
