Tlc Moving

Four months ago I needed to move from one home to another home 30 minutes away from each other. I moved a lot of items ourself and had everything boxed up to move. I had plastic tubes in a basement that I needed help with bringing upstairs. I set up a time for TLC Company to be there at 9:00 am. They called me a half hour after they were supposed to be there and said they were running late. Three people finally arrived at 10:30 am. Their appearance was not what you would think a professional moving company would be. The help was sketching to say the least! My family was trying to help get things up out of the basement and they did not want our help because we were working to fast for them since I was paying them by the hour. Before they came I gave the woman at the office how much stuff I had. They sent the biggest truck but made one trip and would have needed to make another but I said no. When I got back to my old home they had left heavy furniture that I ended up moving myself. I was told they would wrap my furniture but they did not. One price of furniture was wrapped. I had antiques that were scrapped deeply and nicks of wood chipped off on a lot of my furniture. They had no idea how to load or unload the truck. Most of my plastic tubes fell over in the truck and when they were unloading the truck they had the ramp with the dolly and had tubes stacked three tall. They fell off and broke a lot of stuff. Most items have scratches or dents. When I got to my new house they drove by the house to waste time. I will never use this company ever. I would not recommend this company to anyone else. Anyone I know I would not recommend TLC Moving Company. Horrible moving experience. Never again.

I was a little hesitant to use them after reading the reviews, but I had a good experience. I hired them to move me out of my house and pack everything in a truck for me so I could drive it across the state to my new house. They arrived on time, were very polite, and even worked to get everything into a smaller truck after the rental place didn't have the size I reserved. They were extremely careful with everything. The only negatives, and these are small things, was that they wrapped and taped anything that wasn't in a box, and that led to them being there longer than I anticipated. They also packed some things in the truck awkwardly, but that was in an effort to get everything in there and make sure it was all secure. Overall it was a good experience and I'm happy I chose them.

I appreciate that they came out and moved me in the snow. However, when you're paying for professionals you expect a certain level of care. They were fast (but charged an extra half hour of time just because) and like the other reviewer said the pace came at a price. There was one broken item that I decided not to even move that came from picking it up too fast. The other broken item they showed me as they were unloading the truck and they blamed it on the cold. I later found the broken piece INSIDE a closed plastic container that did not come in at the same time. They broke the furniture in the loading and blamed it on the cold. Based on the other person's review it sounds like they know when they break things and try to hide/ignore it. When you're moving, you want it to be fast and painless but it's more important that your items don't break. As friendly as they were, I would not necessarily put them in a "professional" category of how much they actually charge.

Guys were very friendly and moved fast, too fast. All my stuff was packed and ready to be loaded in a uhaul and they just threw the stuff in the truck. They didn't even use 75% of the furniture pads I had purchased and as a result upon arrival to my destination I had 4 pieces of furniture that was damaged. As I was unloading the truck I discovered a damaged dresser with a broken piece missing, later upon unloading I found the broken piece further back in the truck no where near the dresser (a place where it could of only got to if placed by someone). To makes matters worse I have called the company and filed a complaint and the asked me to email them pictures of the damaged items and that they would follow up. It has been over 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back, including my other attempts to follow up with them. ALL THAT BEING SAID I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE FOR THEIR MOVING NEEDS!
