Trig Moving & Storage Inc

Sadly we had the worst, most horrible and stressful experience ever with Trig and we have moved countries and cities multiple times. Our hope was that choosing a "family owned business" would mean it comes with some empathy and humanity vs dealing with one of the big moving companies. Instead we ended up with around 8 items/boxes missing for weeks and in particular two extremely high valued boxes. Customer services was horrible during that whole period of time and we were constantly brushed off with no follow ups and just told to start the insurance process instead of trying to genuinely track down the items. Six items/boxes finally showed up but the two high valued boxes never did. When we explained how valuable these boxes were their response was "maybe we should have carried them with us when moving across the country". How is that a reasonable response from a logistics company who's business is literally to move things for customers??? As for insurance - and this is solely on us so if you're reading this then please learn from our mistake. The insurance that comes with the service is a complete joke. It's based on weight and not the value of items so if your items are light but extremely valuable then you're screwed. Please learn from our horrible experience. Moving is already stressful and this just dragged it on for months. Honestly, we would have just appreciated it if they were more empathetic and proactive about communicating with us through that time. We would have still ended up with missing items but knowing they were trying to help find them and being more understanding at the stress it was causing to lose those items would have made a difference. PS - whoever you choose to move with, find yourself an insurance policy that covers the actual value of your items. Especially if you're still mad enough to go with Trig after reading this...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Although all of our items got delivered, almost EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE, ART, AND BELONGINGS WAS DAMAGED. See a few examples below, also the attached photos . I strongly urge anyone considering Trig Moving & Storage to find a different company that has a rating with the BBB. Or at least get very good insurance and move anything you care about yourself. 1) Furniture that was packed in blankets came with the blankets TORN through with the furniture beneath scraped and gouged. 2) Clothes (including a tuxedo) were NOT hung in wardrobe boxes but crumpled together with other stuff packed on top. 3) Free weights were packed ON TOP of decorative items 4) Lamps were bent and BROKEN. 5) Art was stuffed in a SINGLE box with NO individual WRAPPING 6) Our microwave (although it looked fine) SPARKED AND SMOKED, was handled rough enough to break the internal electronics.

They refuse to pull into the apartment complex and move my items in. They received approval from the office manager that their vehicle is an acceptable size but they still refused.After that excuse did not work they agreed to move the items in if they receive more money. It has been 10 days since this fraudulent company picked my items up in California. The company has been unprofessional from the start. They were scheduled to arrive to pick my items up in California from 1-3p on July 30th. They did not arrive until after 6pm. I had to help them move my items. I had to constantly remind them that my items including bed frame were glass and therefore fragile, to handle with care. Now they’ve offloaded the items to the side of the road. The police have been called. This is the most horrific moving experience I’ve had with any company. I will be seeking legal action.
