Terrible experience- would not recommend. First and foremost, given there is an ongoing global pandemic which is reaching it’s climax here in Texas right now, it’s appalling none of the movers were wearing masks. While signing paperwork, one of the movers tried to fist bump me, and I told him I’d rather not given covid and his response was, “oh we don’t have anything but you wouldn’t believe the kind of stuff we are exposed to!”. Which is entirely why it would make sense for them to wear masks. I underestimated the number of boxes for the move when I booked it prior to moving and on move day the “foreman” in charge explained to me that because I had more boxes and a washer/dryer and an outdoor table it would be an additional $1,700. I was also told that since I didn’t specify what kind of headboard I had on one of the beds- that would be extra too. I was never asked what kind of bed or headboard so that on top of the astronomical surge in pricing is maddening. If that wasn’t enough, the head mover was extremely unprofessional- when I questioned him about the change in price he chalked it up to the fact that while he “didn’t mean to be racist, the moving company is owned by Jewish people”. On top of that, all three of them were swearing the entire time and talking non-stop about how they couldn’t wait to “go home and drink a beer”. After the truck arrived in Dallas, I watched as one of the movers stacked 6-7 boxes on top of each other and the top box labeled “fragile” topped to the ground and shattered. No, “sorry about that” or any sort of explanation, just proceeded to hurl boxes up into the house. After they left, I realized one of the glass table toppers to my coffee table is totally MIA while the other is chipped/damaged. I realize I signed a waiver essentially stating the company isn’t responsible for breaking my belongings but the one topper is entirely gone and I presume it is probably still wrapped in a blanket on the truck. I paid $3,400 to move from Austin to Dallas, my stuff was broken, the movers were a joke and one of the glass toppers to a coffee table is missing. I was told to simply make a claim with their insurance company. Do not use!
