These people are SCUMBAGS!!!! DO NOT USE THEM. I had the same issue where they claimed their credit card machine broke and they demanded cash the day of. When we told them that we couldn't take out that kind of money out of an ATM they refused to unpack our things. I was arguing over TEXT MESSAGE with someone (professional right???). We had to call the police and make a report. Magically their machine was up and running once they arrived. They showed up with an extra person (who we paid for). Took them 3 hours to drive an hour away. We had to argue that were weren't paying them extra when they stopped moving for almost an hour (because they charged us for that). It was a constant bidding war with them over money. The worst moving experience EVER!!! FYI we moved in September, but I was just reminded when clearing out my email and saw that someone else was taken advantage of so I made sure to put this out there.
The movers were just looking to nickle and dime me for my time and wouldn't complete the job. Also the night before the moving company's credit card machine broke down requiring me to arrange cash on short notice which was difficult on a Sunday. They then charged me a premium rate for the additional time I took to arrange them the payment.
Absolutely awful. Do yourself a favor and avoid VIP Express Moving at all costs. They were: 1) Late - it took nearly two months for my things to arrive (52 days), and they were awful to deal with this entire time - to this day I have no idea where my stuff was or if it was at all safe during that time (I doubt it was safe): 2) Severe damage - lots of broken things, and things were missing. About half the items were damaged in some way, many of those destroyed - including many things they packaged. I have no idea how any mover could do this bad a job. I'll post pictures on my page. 4) Missing stuff. I can't even tell what all is missing, as many of their inventory control labels somehow came off. 3) Delivered things that aren't mine. Some of my stuff is missing, but they also delivered things to me that are not mine. I keep asking for help in getting these things delivered to their rightful owners, but there is no action on behalf of VIP Express. If they moved your stuff, and you are missing things, I might have them, please contact me in the comments. 4) The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They have spent the last few months doing everything they can to avoid responsibility, and this mostly takes the form of blaming me for their mistakes. If you care about your stuff, avoid avoid avoid. If like me, you unwisely chose VIP Express, and they messed up and delivered things that are not your - they might be mine!
