The office team and the movers were all very professional. I received all my things in good order. Nothing was broken.

We had a disastrous experience with West Side Movers. They were slow, careless, and inefficient, completely misjudging the amount of time needed and missing the cutoff for delivering to our new address (where we had to request special permission to extend our time window). They literally threw items into boxes where we found clothes a mess combined with electronics and other random items. The boxes were very vaguely labeled (eg “miscellaneous” and “shelves”) and the team did not unpack even though that was what was originally arranged. The owner dispatched workers to come back a couple of days later however they wanted to charge us for the additional time! I am 28 weeks pregnant and my husband has a bad back which is specifically why we hired them to carry out a full packing and unpacking service. It was disappointing and stressful and I would never want any other family to go through what we did. If you need movers, I highly recommend you choose someone else. UPDATE: They had agreed to come this morning fee of charge to complete their unfinished job however did not show up without even a phone call to let us know. This business is a disgrace!

The service they provided was relatively professional in terms of moving: they packed the furniture properly, and nothing was damaged when arrived at the new apartment. They are not the fastest ones, though. However, the biggest complaint came from the management of the contract, the estimation of the final costs, the number of hours it would take, and the overall customer service. They were really disappointing. They estimated 5 hours and it ended up taking 8 hours (which could have been 10 hours if my partner and I hadn't actively helped them). They were not quite responsive when I informed them that they were ignoring the moving times stipulated by the building. They charged a final extra 30 minutes (for displacement), that was never mentioned in the contract (and actually the manager reacted as he had never heard about it). They promised that they would study the final bill, and they never reached back and instead directly charged me the due amount on my credit card. Also, movers and manager seem to disagree on basic logistic issues, putting the customer in a really uncomfortable crossfire. It is true that once I seriously complained, they reacted and returned part of the unjustified charges. Nevertheless, I don't think I would repeat with them and they do not make the moving process smoother or less stressful.

I had an excellent experience with West Side Movers. They were efficient and super helpful. I trusted them with all my belongings and I was not disappointed. I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone I know.

Moving is never easy but West Side Movers made the process so easy and great! The guys that moved our furniture went above and beyond to make sure everything was packed and carried out properly. They didn't scratch any furniture or walls. They worked so quickly and efficiently. If I ever move again, I would definitely call West Side Movers.
