Review:

Ruined a lot of our furniture! Very rude people dealing with. Moving crew expressed they didn’t care about damages to our hhg and just wanted to get done asap. Had music blaring on their personal devices and it was therefore hard to communicate where our items were going to be distributed throughout the house. One employ called my wife ‘baby’ and was demeaning when advised he was about to knock down a wall lighting fixture. Worst moving experience ever and to top it off claims process has been equally bad for us.

We had a small move of items from Southeast Missouri to North Carolina and in searching for nearby movers I came across several companies including Williams. Williams' price was very good and we couldn't be happier with their service. The move was completed yesterday and everything was in perfect condition and placed in our home with care. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Fantastic! I called the office and spoke to Tonya who coordinated the entire move for us. Tonya was our point of contact and was very responsive both via phone and email. It was great to have one point of contact to determine their initial estimate, coordinate pick up and a short-term storage, arrange for delivery, etc. PICK UP: Fantastic! Arrival time and date was arranged a week in advance and confirmed by email and phone. Williams was flexible and moved back their suggested pick up time a few hours to a time that worked better for us. With all of the other things going on when you're moving, it was nice to work with a firm that tried to make it easier for us. DELIVERY: Fantastic! The driver called me from the road the day prior to arriving in North Carolina to introduce himself, confirm some details, and estimate his time of arrival. The office had already given us a certain delivery date a few days prior. With a small load, we knew that our delivery would be on a date-to-be-determined as part of a full move. While the specific date could not be set at pick up, Tonya was confident that the delivery date would be "soon" but she was conservative in providing a range of likely delivery dates. She did not over-promise in order to get our business but instead was very candid in discussing likely dates. She got our business by earning our trust and that's so key with moving items including a few heirlooms and antiques that are dear to our family. REVIEWS: With thousands of moves annually, the small number of negative reviews that have been posted do not at all reflect our experience with Williams. We whole heartedly recommend this long operating family owned business.

Horrible experience!! They were assigned to us by the Army for a PCS move. Very rude when we made them aware of damaged items and the substandard handling of our move. Said they don't care about the condition of our HHG, only that they all get dropped off. Also, they were in such a rush to get everything in the house. Employees are beyond rude, started telling us they just want to hurry up and get home, while blasting music on their phones!! Unbelievable experience and worst in the 16 yrs of moving around with the military. Now they are being difficult, that we are claiming our damaged items. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Very rude and extremely inconsiderate of everyone and everything involved. They were inconsiderate towards the people paying for their services, inconsiderate of furniture and the condition of items, and even inconsiderate to the neighbors! Do NOT hire this company for ANYTHING. They also took SO long to unload all of the furniture/boxes. One truck and it took literally all day. They even blocked my neighbors driveway and refused to move the truck so they could get out. And that's not even taking into account the damage that happened during packing/transit. Don't ever hire this company, they're absolutely awful.

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT hire Williams moving company! in 21 years of moving around the world, Williams has been our worst moving company. They undervalued the weight of our household goods. Then sent a truck that didn't even have room for their estimate. The crew they hired to pack us out on the last day of 3 day pack out acted like they were high on drugs and spent 4 hours just to pack ONE wardrobe box and ONE TV. They didn't even pack or properly label everything. Which is convenient for Williams Moving because it gets them off the hook for items that are stolen. Since the first truck they sent didn't have enough room for all of our household goods we had to have two separate shipments. When our first shipment arrived it was missing things, and most items that came off of the truck weren't even labeled on the inventory. When we noted that items were missing they assured us that they were on the second truck. That was not the case. On top of having items outright stolen from our garage, we incurred close to $10,000 worth of damaged items. A tempurpedic mattress, our samsung french door refrigerator, a TV stand that looked like someone took a mallet to the inside supports to name a few. We've been very patient and three months later we are still dealing with a claim to be reimbursed for these items. They refuse to be reasonable and are low balling us on everything. They only finally agreed to replace the refrigerator when it went on sale this weekend for Columbus day and of course they are only willing to reimburse for the sales price, which will change by the time we would get a check from them. I wager that 95% of our loss and damage could have been avoided had they simply sent a truck that had enough room to fit everything in it. Also it should be noted that, per their own claims adjuster, they do not carry insurance to cover the replacement of goods in their care.
