The worst moving company in America. Rude managers and horrible customer service. Do not and I mean DO NOT CONTACT NOR GIVE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY ANY SERVICE. HORRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.
Please actually listen to the numerous negative reviews! Experience was horrible. Never heard from them regarding when they would come and we ultimately had to hire a different moving company at a significantly higher cost because it was last minute.
BEWARE. I scheduled a move with Xpress movers for Labor Day. I get a tex from this guy named Doug the day of saying that their truck got into an accident, they can't do the move. I call, tex, email no response. They stole my $100 deposit.
No-show- totally unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars, I’d do that. Firstly, like with other people commenting here, they changed the price and deliberately left it vague. From the moment they charged the deposit, communication was non-existent. We never got the confirmation call, nobody answered the phone, not even in the main office. Only after I’d left several messages, did I receive a text message from Doug stating that the movers would come by today around noon. At 2 pm I still had no idea where the movers were not when they’d arrive, so I started calling the office and Doug’s cellphone non-stop. No answer. Twenty minutes later I received a text message stating the movers were running “a little late” and would call me shortly. “Shortly” seems to be a broad term for this business, since I have yet to hear back from them. After trying multiple times to contact them via call and text, we decided to hire another truck so we could vacate the apartment. Totally
Terrible experience from start to finish. For starters, we never received a call letting us know of the exact time that our belongings would be picked up. We called the office multiple times on the day of the move and did not hear from anyone. We were worried they would not show but around 2:30PM we finally got a call saying they would be there in 15 min. Prior to this we were freaking out they wouldn't come (read other reviews where people experienced this). After they picked up our belongings we didn't hear anything for 2 weeks. Called in 2 weeks and they notified us our stuff had not even left the original state and was in some warehouse. We received our shipment later than originally promised. At delivery, we were supposed to be provided with a weight before our items were loaded and after our items were loaded to determine how much we owed. They supplied us a weight via email that was less than the original estimate, however, at time of delivery they had no proof of the weight and demanded that we pay the full original estimate. They said the emailed weight was a mistake and we owed the full original estimate. They refused to offload our belongings unless we did this. On top of that, multiple items were damaged AND they stored our belongings in a warehouse with MICE/RATS!!! There was evidence of teeth marks on certain bags where they chewed through and also rat poop in some of our boxes. We called the office, notified the deliverymen, and emailed the person we originally worked with and have not yet heard back from anyone regarding this. Terrible customer service and extremely difficult move. Would not recommend them.
